Dangal has beaten the first 3-day collections of Sultan, a period which is considered to be the first weekend even though Sultan released on Wednesday. There is very little gap between the two films – Dangal has collected 106.95 crore, while Sultan collected 105.53 crore. The last 3-day collections of Sultan (Fri, Sat, Sun) is even closer to Dangal.
The gap between films featuring Aamir – Salman and the rest is too huge at the moment. The third film in the list is ‘MS Dhoni The Untold Story’ which was riding on the pan-India popularity of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The rest are less than half of Sultan and Dangal.

Whatever Dangal is collecting, it deserves them well. Dangal is a gem of movie. Right from the content to the starcasts, everything is inch-perfect.

Dangal is a film worth watching…in a world where it is all about scale and actors, dangal it quite a unique concept. Frankly, I didnt expect it to open so big, so plesantly surprised!
Let’s be honest, being a Salman fan, I don’t want it to cross Sultan. But I can’t help it. Dangal is so good a movie that it derserves to do more or at least similar business to Sultan. Way to go for Dangal.

It will break SULTAN record as I have predicted earlier. It becomes easy for Dangal as it become tax free in UP, Haryana , HP etc. Lifetime collection will be around 325 Crore near to PK.
Sultan opening 36 cr. less 15 % Partial holiday adv. ,opening day collection is 31 cr. So sultan opening -31 cr
Dangal opening – 30 cr.
And Dangal is less commercial and than sultan and Demonitisation factor too ,still just 1 cr less than sultan…
So ,how can u say SULTAN opening is BUMPER and DANGAL is EXCELLENT
