Dabangg 3: Will show how Salman became Chulbul Pandey!

While promoting his upcoming Christmas release Dabangg 2, lead star Salman Khan also revealed a few details on the third film in the series.

“We have our third film (Dabangg 3) ready and it will go back and show how Chulbul Pandey becomes Chulbul Pandey (the corrupt police officer). If the second one becomes a hit, we can go to the third one, which is actually the first one. So Dabangg 3 will be a prequel” said Salman Khan.

The first film in the series, Dabangg directed by Abhinav Kashyap, was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2010. The lead cast – Salman and Sonakshi Sinha – will continue to play their respective roles.

When asked if Sonakshi has a role to play in the prequel, since Chulbul and Rajo first met each other in Dabangg, Salman said “There is a place for Sonakshi in Dabangg 3 as well. She is there, her father is there, but we don’t meet.”

With Dabangg 2 likely to open well and easily cross 100 crores at the domestic box office, Dabangg 3 is most likely to happen. It will be interesting to see the story behind the character of Chulbul Pandey, what made him the corrupt outlawed hero.
