Now that the hype around the Diwali clash is coming to an end, it’s time to write about something that we have been following closely over the last 4 days. The ‘user ratings’ on the popular ticket booking website ‘BookMyShow.com’ is loaded heavily in favour of Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay.
Out of 56,467 votes received for Shivaay – 61% of the total voters rated it 5 stars. On the other hand, we have the other release this weekend, which is performing very well at multiplexes. But for some reason, the ratings are abnormally negative – even when compared to some of the biggest box office disasters of the year.
ADHM has received 52,865 votes – out of which a whopping 42% ratings are for 1 star.
This raises a couple of questions:
- Can BookMyShow ratings be hacked or manipulated? While ratings on IMDb and other websites make little or no difference to ticket sales, BookMyShow ratings can impact business of films because people see the ratings before booking tickets. Nowadays, most people also trust ‘user ratings’ more than ‘critic ratings’.
- If BookMyShow ratings can be hacked into, and a production house or fanbase can create multiple accounts or use bots to negatively vote for a competing film, it could be used in the future too as Bollywood enters an era of box office clashes.

The ratings of 2015’s most acclaimed blockbuster ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ certainly looks more genuine to us. More evenly distributed between 5 and 4 stars ratings!

I have no doubt if it was a salman or Srk film , it was mind blowing, awesome

Look people how Srk sir direct such stunning visuals & camera movement in difficult conditions , Never seen before in Bollywood by any mainstream director, just because of screenplay with some lack of emotions you can’t ignore “the effort of Srk sir”. Same thing is applicable for critics ratings. Critics gave 1 star to Shivaay and 4 Stars to ADHM. Indicine doesn’t question critics. Why?
What is wrong if general public likes Shivaay and doesn’t like ADHM ? In recent months, i find that Indicine is heavily biased towards Slaman, SRK and KJO. Indicine hates Hritik, Ajay and Aamir. Indicine spreaded negativity about Mohenjodaro and Shivaay. Mohenjodaro release date was already locked. Still rustom clashed. But Indicine supported rustom. Kaabil release date was locked one year before. Still Raees is clashing with Kaabil. Indicine suggests that Kaabil should be moved. Indicine dedicates seperate articles about each and every dialogue of Dear Zindagi. But there is no word about Kaahani 2 and force 2 trailers. Indicine trashes Befikre trailer by saying it vulgar. But indicine praises ADHM which starts with kissing and full of smooching , bed scenes. Why Indicine? Why ? ? ?

ADHM– IMDB 5.4
ADHM is average ,so it’s rating not surprising.
But just wondering how Shivaay got this much,as rating of 7 + is considered extraordinary.
Means it’s credibility also losing.

Just because he stood for his rights and fought against your favorite you cant keep trying to pull him down. Remember worst days of Salman? you will never know whose destiny is going to change in future. Today Kjo may be a big director but Ajay is much much bigger actor than Kjo anyday. If you had been a fan like us I could have understand but you are a forum and cannot be taking sides without solid proofs.
The truth is if Indicine and SRK fans had given same focus (importance) to FAN as same as ADHM or Shivaay FAN would have earned 100 crs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think indicine site is hacked by the AD office boy KRK. I never expected that Indicine will spread so much negativity against Shivaay. You can see the efforts involve in making such grand scale visual effects and stunts like Hollywood made by AD. You should respect that efforts to enhance the level of Bollywood. Atleast he tried something different from ghisi-piti chumma-chati romantic movie like ADHM.
See Ajay’s efforts atleast.he has set d standard of action which matches hollywood Tried something which he nvr done before.but unfortunatly our some bewakuf audience ko vahi pasand h na. shivaay bakwaas movie, too long and boring
I don’t give a shit about this article….watched both movies and have to tell that I enjoyed both of them although Shivaay could be shortened by around half an hour!!! I don’t go to the movies because of the critics….I go and watch them because of the stories and my favourite actors….and if there is a clash I am going for both of them like right now with ADHM & Shivaay!!!
My Review :
ADHM : Could not tolerate the movie after 10-15 minutes so left.
Shivaay : Came out of the theater bored and cussing Ajay about poor editing.
