Chennai Express has grossed Rs 326 crore in just 10 days since its worldwide theatrical release on 8th August, to become the fastest money-spinner of all time. The Shahrukh Khan starrer became only fourth film to cross the 300 crore worldwide mark, after 3 Idiots (385 crore), Ek Tha Tiger (330 crore) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (310 crore).
Chennai Express will go past Ek Tha Tiger today, but the 385 crore set by Rajkumar Hirani’s 2009 classic could be beyond reach.

In India, Chennai Express has a good chance of crossing the magicial 202 crore figure for the highest grossing domestic film. Overseas, it is likely to take the 3rd spot behind 3 Idiots ($26.1 million) and My Name Is Khan ($23.2 million).

Chennai Express collections increased due to several reasons. One of them is the negative reviews from the audience towards OUATIMD. The movie collected Rs. 10.5 cr on its second saturday.

Hay guys people were talking about number of screens. So now i tell u something very interesting. Saturday Collection of CE is 8.51 and OUATIMD is 8.75. So now lets what excuse haters will give. Clearly now OUATIMD have much more screens then CE. hahahahaha Akki is far from SRK as far as Starpower n Acting Talent is concern.
SRK prove that years before when Don n Jan-e-Mann where release together at Diwali. But the interesting thing was Jan-e-Man was 2 heros movie Sallu n Akki n OUATIMD also a 2 heros movie Akki & Imran but both the time failed to defet SRK.
