Captain America: Civil War has taken the India box office by storm, continuing the dominance of Hollywood films in India. The market for Hollywood films has witnessed huge growth in the last couple of years and Captain America: Civil War continued that trend by collecting Rs 8.53 crore net.
The first day collections of the film was more than the combined business of all Hindi films – first day collections of 1920 London, One Night Stand, Traffic and the 8th day collections of Baaghi.
In the Top 5 highest opening of 2016, there are two Hollywood films. The opening of only 4 films can be called ‘excellent’, out of which three are Hollywood and one Hindi (Baaghi).

I think the presence of Robert downey jr gives the major boost to the movie because he one of the well known hollywood actor in india.
