Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN is one of the biggest non-festive releases of the year and expectations from the film are high, more so after a trailer that received a good response from majority of the audience.
The film releases in theatres on April 15 and all eyes will be on the opening day collections of the film. If FAN scores on Day 1, more big films could target smaller (or normal) weekends to release their films, as major holiday weekends are getting more crowded with each passing day.
The first target for FAN would be to surpass the opening day business of 2013 film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ which collected Rs 19.46 crore on a non-holiday (and non-festive) Friday.
No film that has released on a working day without the advantage of a festive weekend (i.e Eid, Dilwali, Christmas) has collected more than Rs 20 crore. Will FAN be the first film to do so?

150-170 would be target for the makers.Unless the wom is really good 200 would be really tough.It would be great if other stars too release their movies on normal weekends.It would reduce competition and monopoly of Khans during the lucrative festival periods.
BTW Yjhd had one of the most popular tracks in recent times and the word of mouth was excellent in multiplexes where it ran for many weeks.Unfair to compare both the movies
Yzhd will beated by Fan ( 80% chance ), Housefull3 ( 99% chance ), in 2016 on non- holiday weekend. there r no other movie can beat Yzhd.

Its about the content eventually.Opening is bound to be around 25crores which is quite big as it is a non holiday release.If public can connect with the film it can do wonders at the Box Office.And those who think srk is not a big star they should wait for FAN & RAEES,they will get their answers.
