Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN is one of the biggest non-festive releases of the year and expectations from the film are high, more so after a trailer that received a good response from majority of the audience.
The film releases in theatres on April 15 and all eyes will be on the opening day collections of the film. If FAN scores on Day 1, more big films could target smaller (or normal) weekends to release their films, as major holiday weekends are getting more crowded with each passing day.
The first target for FAN would be to surpass the opening day business of 2013 film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ which collected Rs 19.46 crore on a non-holiday (and non-festive) Friday.
No film that has released on a working day without the advantage of a festive weekend (i.e Eid, Dilwali, Christmas) has collected more than Rs 20 crore. Will FAN be the first film to do so?

Regarding total collections I hope it does but only after watching the watch one can make a prediction. Earning 190 cr is quite a task and requires great trending. YJHD had great music and a favorable genre on its side. Beating YJHD total collections looks tough but if the movie clicks with the audience then anything is possible.

box office and collections are growing every year. so if it does not beat the collection of a movie which opened 3 years ago it will be embarrassing.
srk’s fan will have an opening between 22-25cr and it will beat the lifetime collections of YJHD even if the film received mix reviews
