The first indication that Veer may not go the Wanted way, was when the collections first dipped on Saturday and later dropped quite significantly on Monday. Republic day (Tuesday) business helped the film get close to the first week numbers of Wanted, but the huge crash on Friday (Week 2) and further drops on Saturday and Sunday has meant that the film is highly unlikely to attain HIT status.
The fact that the distributors share is high from single screens has ensured the “moderate success” tag for the film, but business overall has been well below expectations.

The table above gives a pretty clear indication as to how both movies have trended, while Wanted opened slow and remained steady, Veer opened better but crashed quickly.

- The multiplex business of Veer is lower than Wanted.
- The costs of Veer is much higher, hence the film needs much more for hit status.
- The lifetime nett of Veer is likely to fold up under 45 crores, with a distributors share of around 25 – 26 crores.

Why u people are blaming taran, when he is saying is truth. V should accept that film has not done well after repulic dty holiday, d film has been removed from many theaters even some single screens. When akshay kumars blue collected 40 crore plus, so many people were witing it as flop the same sites r writing veer flop, only boi gave a verdict of average due 2 its high cost, same is with veer its 70/75 crore budget film
de dana dan net gross was around 50 crore and its budget was 35 crore then also it was given verdict of above average and on top of it kambakth ishq net gross was more then 55 crore it was also above average.
So chill all u people I hope veer wil not b declared flop by BOI atleast it wil b below average ar average movie.

Following this debate for so may days and my honest opinion is that by net revenue veer is average but as we decide success of a movie based on distributor share and 25 cr distributor is sure for veer, it should be above average / semi hit.
But, the debate going on here regarding whether film will be average or above average, semi hit………etc etc is among a few hundred bloggers only. For public, there are not so may catagories, for them, a film may be flop, hit or at the most blockbuster hit. Veer has already become perception hit. Most of the news papers and media chanels (including NDTV, which is supposed to anti salman) are showing veer as a hit. They are also mentioning, as veer is strong in single screens, that salman is a superstar of masses.
Guys, the whole debate about who is best is meaning less. All khans and other big stars have a fam following which remains intact irrespectve of film’s fate at box office.
When KI & DDD with a Distributor Share of 25 crores are termed as Above Average, so will be VEER as it has all chances to do DS of 25 crore +
BOI has mentioned By the end of Week 2 DS is 23.50 crore. So reaching a DS of 25 crores won’t be a big ask especially when VEER has retained most of it’s Single Screens :)
Taran is an asshole. Last Week he said VEER is a success in Single Screens, now he is saying VEER is flop. Such a bastard :x

Veer has seen a big fall in collections in week two. The early estimates for week two are around 7.75 crore nett business which means around 75% drop. This will take its two week business to 38.75 crore nett including Telugu version. The Telugu version crashed huge in week two.
Even the best circuit for the film Rajasthan saw a 70% drop but luckily the distributor had covered his costs in first week alone. The film is keeping most of its single screens in week three as there is no major release this week which should enable reasonable business from single screens in week three.
The two week distributor share is 23.50 crore approx and the film should finish at around 25 crore which is similar to Kambakkht Ishq and De Dana Dan last year.

@ Rajesh, Exactly. Hardly Very Few People checks out the sites like BOI for the fate of films at Box-office. Majority of public believes whatever media says.
Even though KI was Above Avg. Entire media has declared KI as flop.
But, In case of VEER, it’s opposite. Channels Like Star News, NDTV(Anti Salman), Aaj Tak, India TV, IBN 7 has declared VEER as a HIT.
So, in general public’s Mind, VEER is a HIT.
Though with a DS of 25 crore it will emerge as Above Average
We all sallu fan knew that taran was gonna write flop soon but Veer is hit for public and average on the paper. Taran is cheepest person and must be admitted in a hospital.
