Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes has passed away at the age of 25, two days after he was knocked down by a bouncer. Cricket Australia has confirmed that he never regained consciousness following his injury on Tuesday.
Bollywood actors condoled the death of Phil Hughes and also came out in support of Sean Abbott, the bowler who bowled the delivery that eventually led to the death of Hughes.

This is really a sad day for cricket . I have seen the footage and it was just a bouncer not a beamer . He was trying to play a pull shot but he could not connect and the ball hurt his head and ear . He was unconscious on the field and a stretcher came and took him to the helicopter . He was using a very old helmet . I think the safety should be increased after the death of Phil Hughes . The gap should be reduced so that the ball cannot enter the grill and reach the face . I seriously feel bad for the bowler Sean Abbott because that was not a deliberate attempt to injure Hughes . Sometimes the game becomes Batsman friendly so the bowlers try to bowl bouncers and we have to be cautious but if bowlers stop bowling bouncers then the game will not be as thrilling as it is today . This is the first time i have heard that a Cricketer died because of a injury . Last such incident took place 16 years back when Indian cricketer Raman Lamba died . I hope such incident should never happen in cricket in any format and country . I personally love to see and play Cricket . May the Soul of Philip Hughes Rest In Peace .
