For those who are saying Salman and Aamir are playing safe games,
In festive seasons and other holiday periods, most of the people are free and willing to spend. Therefore, the BO of Hindi films can perform to its maximum potentials.
For that reason, during those periods, the distributors and the exhibitors want those stars that can bring maximum footfalls to theatres and and moolahs at the BO.
For a film released in any of these periods, it has to earn at least Super Hit verdict to justify its festive or holiday release. Else, that is a sheer waste of opportunities.
With due respect to all actorsi, many of them haven’t really justified the those periods or lived up to the expectations with his films when they got opportunitied. They have rather wasted them most of the time.
To be fair and square, as of today, only Aamir Khan and Salman Khan and to an extent Hrithik & Ajay can exploit the festive periods to their maximum potentials and hence they deserve those periods. Even Shah Rukh Khan has, one of the most successful superstars, managed to take full advantage of them only twice in the long long years: with OSO in 2008 and CE in 2013. So others can stop talking about festive periods.
I seriously believe that bolloywood should stop this. Have you ever seen a hollywood biggie ever betting on fabourable release date for performance of a film? Let go hollywood even r south indian film industry dosent do that.Many biggies like 24 iru murugan jantha garage etc have released on normal weekdays and done great.
Bollywood is going this shitty way just because of greedy producers.They want to earn huge money and they don’t give a damn about giving value to us audience.
