The top actors in the industry are the men who drive the industry. Without them the star-driven Hindi film industry would struggle for its very existence.
For some unknown reason, the industry hasn’t been able to produce too many bankable stars in the last few years. Four of the current Top 5 actors, made their debut before before 1993. Since then, only Hrithik Roshan has managed to make it to the ‘superstar’ league and even he made his debut 16 years ago.
Fortunately, in the last few years, actors like Varun Dhawan, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh have shown a lot of promise and along with the likes of Arjun Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra, these younger generation actors could well be the superstars of the future.
Akshay Kumar – Salman Khan – Shah Rukh Khan
Akshay Kumar has been the most prolific actor over the years. He started his career with low-budget films, a lot of them borderline B-grade, but the superstar has never let failures affect him. The result? Akshay is one of the top actors in the industry today and holds the record for the highest career collections. The total collections of all his 106 movies currently stands at Rs 2781 crore.
The second best is the megastar himself, the numero uno star in the industry today. A 28-year-long career that has seen depressing lows to incredible never-before-witnessed heights. Salman Khan’s 73 movies have contributed Rs 2648 crore to the industry.
With films like Housefull 3, Rustom and Sultan, it’ll be interesting to see which actor becomes the first to cross the Rs 3000 crore mark.
At No 3 is the incredible Shah Rukh Khan, arguably the only actor in the industry to have a career of more than 2 decades, without having to go through prolonged periods of failures. His success ratio is the highest and almost all his films have taken a good opening at the box office.
Ajay Devgn – Aamir Khan – Hrithik Roshan
Ajay Devgn is ahead of Aamir Khan and the only reason for this is the big difference in the number of films that they have done. Aamir currently holds the record for the best average (per film) for actors who made their debut before 2000.
Hrithik Roshan averages 60 crore per film, which is excellent for an actor who made his debut 16 years ago. Varun Dhawan’s average is the overall best (84 crore per film), but it shouldn’t be compared to actors who made their debut before 2010.

&indicine totally wrong analysis. You should have given adjusted nett collection for older movies Amir salman clearly gets benefit of recent grossers which helps in their averages. For example salman and Amir get benefits of recent grossers like pk, BB but srk will get benefit of DTPH or k3g because of time span which were huge grosser of its time and but success level is similar to PK and BB. now u will come and say that salman Amir had also big grosser like RH HAHK etc. but they are minimal compete to srk. Srk had more no of blockbuster with grossers in 90s and 2000 than rest but he can’t get benefit of those in terms of numbers. So it is better to inflate older movie in today’s ticket price then see actual result. By this method dilip kumar is lower than even varun dhawan.

Hrithik Roshan and other younger actors collection are what it is showing bcoz der collection are after 2000’s whenaftr 50 crore were not dat easy for big films bt d collection of akshay kumar and khans are mostly of 90’s so if we adjust the inflation rate n all den the younger actors are uncomparable and I m sure by dat calculations akshay Kumar ll ve more den 4000 cr..n dat is the reason why actors like rk is close to saifali khan.

Akshay will be 1st star to achieve 3000 Cr only by this year for sure because He needs only 219 Cr to reach 3000 Cr and two films will be enough to do so and he will do it without EDX holidays which is outstanding
Hrithik’s 60 Cr per film and 1201 Cr in 16 years of his career are outstanding considering the fact that his films not get EDX holidays always except Mission Kashmir, Krrish3
on other hand, KHANS earnings have more contribution to EDX holidays around 50 % more collection on EDX holidays as compared to other Holidays according to my so much researches and my deep analysis

@indicine. If fan does 100 cr then average will be 37.1, 200 cr then 38.85 cr. this is clearly shows that how much impact is there on average of recent grossers compare to older. Better adjust all older movies with today’s ticket rate.
Some Akki fans are flying high because of highest cumulative gross. Even boss, joker, brother, Sib also added more numbers towards total but what is the use of it when movie either flop or desastrous.
