Highlights of Bollywood 2015:
Highest Opening Day: Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan holds the record for the highest opening day collections of 2015 (27.25 cr). No other film has come close to challenging the first day total set by the film. Salman’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is almost certain to beat that total when it releases on the Diwali holiday later this year. It’ll be interesting to see if Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale beats the 27.25 cr figure to take the highest opening non-holiday for 2015. It’ll be difficult because ‘Bajirao Mastani’ is releasing on the same day, which also happens to be a working day.
Highest Opening Weekend: Salman’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan also holds the record for the highest first week this year. The film collected Rs 102.6 crore in its first 3 days. PRDP has more than a good chance of surpassing this figure, even though Sunday doesn’t come in the first 3 days (PRDP releases on Thursday, 12th November). The only other non-Salman film that has a chance is SRK’s Dilwale.
Highest First Week: It’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan again. The film collected Rs 184.65 cr in its first week. The outstanding word-of-mouth helped big time. Both PRDP and Dilwale will have to carry similar reports to challenge the first week total of the Kabir Khan directed film.
Highest Grosser: Will Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 321 crore) remain the biggest grosser of 2015? Or will the two other obvious choices go on be the highest grosser of 2015. That’s the big question as we head towards two of the most important months of the year – with two major weekends in Diwali and Christmas.
- Biggest Success - Bajrangi Bhaijaan (All Time Blockbuster)
- Biggest Disaster - Bombay Velvet (lost nearly 100 crore of its investment)
- Costliest film – Bombay Velvet (Cost of production only)
- Star of the year - Salman Khan
- Best Debut – Kapil Sharma

@Prince the hypocrite, why did you not include Indian vs ashoka clash? Dont you have balls? If than include that as well. Kyon fat gayi ab pichwaade pe? That’s the standard of Haklu fans like you.
Salman will rock this year. Only PRDP can break the record of BB. Will wait and see.
I think twmr should be given a atbb status considering its starcast and budget.
Nice article indicine . Shaandaar will be blockbuster.
@eNViouS (NVS) 10:29 / 10:34 am : Bhojpuri fans are calling others as Bhojpuri? :D
Yeah you are right. If a greedy criminal books both Eid and Diwali in the same year, just because of the fear of another “Flop ho” on a non-holiday, its highly possible that both the movies will turn into big grossers.
@indicine : Why you allow same garbage twice from this buffoon’s I’d. Delete the first one :D
@Farsh pochna the suckstar 10:57 am : Lol, the one who gets overshadowed by Nawaz and Harshali, his fans are talking about multistarrers. That’s the difference you kiddo. When king khan works in a multistarrer , he will be overshadowing others all the time and he remains the main lead. But in case of criminal, its totally opposite. He gets overshadowed even by the child artists. And this legacy has been continued since “Hum aapke hain hi kyun” and “Hum sath sath kyun hain” days.
@xzone, maybe you are new to indicine so you don’t know how cheap your fellow mates are. You might not bash aamir, but srk fans especially @sss, @IamAKN, @phenom, @javed, @zuheeb, @Aman, @Abhishek, @Romance and many others who bash aamir even if Aamir fans don’t bash srk. Why don’t you ask them to stop bashing aamir if you want us to stop. FYI aamir fans never bash any stars unless srk fans or others start. I never used to bash srk, but his regular cheap fans like I mentioned above have started all these. Go to the history. Whenever there is any aamir articles posted, they all come up and bark like nonstop with a lot of abuses. So better tell them to respect aamir if you want us to respect srk.
@ indicine: Why are you considering Brothers flop when the other sites are putting it in (Average grossers) category?? And Welcome back is HIT!!!
If Dilwale comes on 25 December and gets 4000 screens then it will collect 40 crores on its opening day and weekend can be around 100-110 crore.. And within 3 weeks it can cross 300 crores..if it clashes on 18th then it may take 4 weeks to collect 300 crores..Rohit Shetty knows the pulse of the audience very well and he is a master in presenting his heroes on screen..this time he has 2 heroes and a bunch of talented versatile supporting cast.. I am sure Dilwale is gonna create havoc whenever it will arrive
@HARSH KHANNA- THE ROCKSTAR
Dont take these guys seriously & dont interact with them.
Not only Indian vs Asoka there are so many clashes which they would not dare to even think.
But these guys are retard pepole who live in their own created world & everytime talks baseless & rubbish.
So dont waist your time on those…even you can avoide their comments by just reading ID.
@xzone 10:58 just wait and watch
This has been a brilliant year for Bollywood in terms of content . I agree that collections wise the numbers have been underwhelming but still the 2nd Half has been really good with BB, Baahubali, Drishyam, WB, KKPK, SIB and Talvar . 2013 and 2014 have been disappointing years in terms of content . 2012 was a brilliant year and this year reminds me of 2015 .
Best movies of 2015 in no particular order :
1. Baby – Best movie of Neeraj Pandey, Best movie of Akshay Kumar and Best Performance of Akshay Kumar i don’t think i should say more .
2. Drishyam – A nerve cracking Thriller which will keep up you hooked . One of the Best Performances of Ajay Devgn and Tabu . Outstanding Direction by Nishikant Kamat . We need more such Remakes !!!!!!!
3. Baahubali – Baahubali was released in Hindi so it will be in my list . Amazing Performances from Prabhas and Rana . Outstanding Creativity, Out of the World VFX and the Battle Sequence is nothing but the Best . SS Rajamouli proves talent has no barrier in India .
4. Piku – Best Performance of Deepika Padukone . Irrfan and Big B were Awesome and Shoojit Sircar is one the most intelligent Directors in Bollywood giving 3 Back to Back brilliant movies – Vicky Donor, Madras Cafe and Piku .
5. DLKH/BB – Dum Laga ke Haisha is a Sweet Romantic movie . It depicted the era of 90’s beautifully . Brilliant performances by Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar . The supporting cast was superb . If YRF makes more movies like this they will earn more respect if not money . Also it became a success .
Bajrangi Bhaijaan one of the Best movies of Salman Khan . Outstanding message of Humanity and Brotherhood . Brilliant Direction by Kabir Khan . Salman, Harshaali and Nawaz all were great in their respective roles . I never expected last year that BB will be in my list . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Prediction for the year 2015.
1)PRDP with 350 plus crores(ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER)
2) BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN 321crores (ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER)
3) BAJIRAO MASTANI 190 crores (Super Hit)
4) Dilwale 175 crores (Hit)
5) Shandaar 110 crores (super hit)
6) Tamasha -88 crores (HIt)
Why TWMR’s verdict changed from ATBB to just BB??
Anyways My fav. 2015 films till now are as follows::
Talvaar
Dum Laga Ke Haisha
BABY
Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Drishyam
TWMR
Phantom
Detective Byomkesh Bakshy
Brothers
Gabbar is Back
Hamari Adhuri Kahani

later salman khan and kabir ek tha tiger fall short 199

now history repeat itself……
pk 340
bajrangi bhaijan 321
now srk and rohit will come again and u know what i mean…
What is the difference between avarge below aavarag, above avarage and semi hit
@indicine:Singh is bliing must have crossed 90crs i think..
who is commenting against srk right now…and they were supporting bajirao mastani and commenting against dilwale…but the truth i s that even haters going to watch Dilwale on its first day
not BM…ITS a truth…
xzone …. Aaooochhh… :p :D : D
My top 5 of the year so far.
1. Bahubali.
2. Piku
3. Drishyam- I loved drishyam more than piku but it was remake so Piku deserves higher position.
4. Bajrangi Bhaijaan – loved more in second watch.
5. Baby.
I also liked Badlapur,TWMR,GiB also.
Watched Singh is bling- must say the film never failed to meet my expectation, as the film was as crappy as I thought from trailer and Prabhudeva name attached as Director.
Film has good 15-20 minutes, than the non sense start which failed to evoke laugh, in second half film showing emotional turn, Amy visited Punjab, quekly find her mother, suddebely leave the India, more suddenly akki took her mother to Romania, suddenly the climax happen. No emotion, unnecessary gags, poor plot.
In acting department Amy was pathetic, only her action scenes were delight. Lara is so so, KK had given worst performance of his career among the films I have seen of him. But biggest disappointment was Akshay as Singh, like Baby and Gabbar I thought he will rise above script but he was no near to SIK act. He also looking quite older as sardar. Prabhu deva complete hattrick of pathetic films with R.. Rajkumar,AJ and SIB, though Rajkumar being bigger success, haven’t seen AJ but SIB is better than both of those crap.
My rating-1.75/5 (actual 1.25, .5 added for that it might be better in theatre watch).
Akki end this year with a poor note.
Proud Bhai Fan… Salman Bhai a megastar this era Srk A megastar of the past
Why indicine not add all versions collection of first day of bahubali?
Aren’t tamil,telugu? Not indian language?
@xing xang zone . hahahaha lol ‘Crapwale’ looks like a c grade bhojpuri movie so make no mistake about it .
First of all , u retarded moron ‘jai ho’ is not a flop it is a semi-hit , seems like ur grass filled brain doesn’t understand a difference between a semi-hit & a flop!
jai ho , a non-holiday release with a budget of 65 crores & with less promotions & with low ticket prices in that year does 110+ crores in india (almost double the budget) while a grand diwali release like Ra.1 with a 130+ crores budget & with the most extensive & expensive promotions of its time and with the highest ticket prices of that year collects less than its budget in India in spite of releasing in many languages , so tell me if jai ho is a flop then what should Ra.1 be called as ????? a super duper flop , a utter flop or a disastrous flop???? A movie’s status depends only on its domestic net collections and though bra.1 collected less than its budget it was declared as a hit in a disputed way (as many of them still don’t consider bra.1 as a clean hit) and jai ho was declared as a semi-hit , if u take all the factors into consideration then technically Ra.1 should be called as a mega disaster .
I do feel sorry for ur mummified queen & his crappy movies , holiday or no holiday everyone is ready to clash with him hahahaha even his so called protege Deepika & the girl with whom he had a brief extra marital affair priyanka chopra are willing to take on ur rani saheeba, ranveer is confident about the clash , ajay doesn’t fear facing him in clash , akki & hrithik may follow suit , so u see no one is afraid of clashing with ur rani ganguteli and on other hand everyone thinks 100 times before clashing with the sultan of Bollywood , the best proof is that u will see ur rani haklutelli taking a back step during the next eid by preponing or postponing crapees , just wait & watch and ya keep sobbing :D :D

BB will retain hgoty no doubts about that. and @indicine pls you could see some stupid comments from @babaji xzone even though sign of insecurity!!! when you Said pkp2 opening was biggher than big movies like Drishyam! I would not care a little if it waslike that but how com there now significant difference between drishyam and pkp 2,opening now on yr article? Pls don’t put producers figures for Drishyam like many other movies you have done too we just need trade figure and if pkp2 trade figure is bigger than drishyam let it be I know what is coming next year so still so so confident with Ajay Devgn. But don’t rush when posting an article and blabber nonsense and later correct it.
My Prediction For UpComing Films – Shaandar-78crs PRDP-255crs Tamasha- 112crs Bajirao Mastaani-98crs Dilwale-270crs
@pranav they are Indian languages and not hindi language that is why not included.
Good to see how Salman stole the show. 2015 is definitely his year no one taking it frm him.
Good to see Drishyam being appreciated by many same with baby. Good to see record highest opening day and one of record lowest opening day of 2 actors having the same verdict at last!! Semi hit and semi heat.
@Suchit 12:16 pm : Nope, I have a very old collaboration with indicine (nearly five years or so as of now). I was not active in between due to some personal constraints, but I’m definitely not new for this website.
And as far as I have seen, SRK fans have bashed Amir when some Amir fan has spoken bad about SRK. But let’s not go into that debate that who instigated all this. Now, can you insure that no negative comment will be passed about SRK from an Amir fan? If SRK fans are initiating, I’ll be there with you at that point of time. You can use this comment as reference.
I’m not doing this for anyone, but for myself. I can’t just bash a person who is a great actor and human being, just because his fans provoke others. So I’m trying to pacify as much as possible. But the other problem is, I’m a huge fan of SRK so if someone will continue to bash SRK, then even I have a limit and I’ll be helpless if that limit is crossed.
Trust me, putting Amir’s name into this fan war is an insult of Amir himself. Being an SRK fan I can tell SRK has got many haters. And our criminal khan has long legacy on that. So let’s not talk about him. But I haven’t not heard any of my friends talking bad about Amir. So why guys are ready to vanish his nice image? Let criminal fans do that. You are follower of such a star who is a perfectionist. So be happy with that.
@SRK fans : Please understand that this salmir propaganda was created by criminal fans just to gain some support and unfortunately few innocent Amir fans were trapped with that. But please stop bashing Amir now on until someone provokes you to do so. My sincere request to all of you.
This is to inform the general public that our bankable kona kona hero has successfully completed his move from 70 crs to 90 crs actor in the year 2015. His doing 4 movies per year is his own cup of tea as only he will enjoy his share of money and his dull fans will say it’s because he did 4 movies no single 100 crs. Even with solo release dates and multi casts. His 4 movies is yet to hit 1,single release of MEGASTAR SALMAN KHAN movie!!!!! Varun Dhawan showed him the way things are done but still he could not even near Varun Dhawan and Johnny Boy! Like his fans let’s hope his next Alia bhatt starrer can break Johnny Boy record of 97crs. So pls fans of other superstar we pleading with you to respect mr akshay Kumar and change his title from king of 70 cr to 90 crs with immediate effect. At least it’s an achievement his fans wil be proud of while they should know trying to mock Salman Sir is a pre-suicidal invitation!! Thank you for your cooperation. All hail 90 crs singh? king?
