Bol Bachchan HIT or FLOP – Box office Prediction

The popular actor-director duo of Ajay Devgan and Rohit Shetty, return with a film that is probably a combination of the Golmaal series and Singham. Bol Bachchan, also starring Abhishek, Asin and Prachi Desai, has both comedy and action.

Golmaal was a successful franchisee and the Singham trailer created a huge splash. But for Bol Bachchan, the trailer received a mixed response and the music hasn’t been very popular either.

Fortunately though, the pre-release reports are fantastic and if the film turns out to be good,  Rohit Shetty has yet another winner.

We expect the first day collections to be around 10 crores. If the response is good on Friday, the film should sail through the weekend with bigger numbers.

Below is our full Hit or Flop box office prediction.

IF GOOD (positive word-of-mouth)

• Weekend – 36 crores
• Weekdays – 22 crores
• Week 1 Total – 58 crores
• Final – 100 crores+ (HIT)

IF AVERAGE (mixed response)

• Weekend – 34 crores
• Weekdays – 17 crores
• Week 1 Total – 51 crores
• Final – 75 to 80 crores (Average)

IF BAD (worst case scenario)

• Weekend – 30 crores
• Weekdays – 13 crores
• Week 1 Total – 43 crores
• Final – 55 to 60 crore (FLOP)

Bol Bachchan is an important film for both the lead stars. Abhishek’s last solo-hit was Guru in 2007. As for Ajay Devgan, his last two releases (Tezz and Rascals) failed to get a decent initial at the box office.
