Aditya Chopra’s Befikre has shown decent growth on Saturday, collecting Rs 11.6 crore to take its 2-day total to Rs 21.96 crore. While the jump in business is decent, multiplex films that carry good word-of-mouth, tend to show much better growth.
Some examples of Friday to Saturday growth of some 2016 multiplex films below:

- Airlift – 18.2%
- Rustom – 16.5%
- Ki and Ka – 15.2%
- Kapoor & Sons – 13.1% (business affected by India – Pak World Cup match)

The film will collect around 34-35 crore in its first weekend. There is a holiday for Eid Milad on Monday at educational institutions, government institutions will be closed on Tuesday. So it’s a partial holiday for the film on both days. The advantage could be around 15-20% on both days, so the key for the film will be to hold on Wednesday.

IndicineLBO (lifetime box office prediction): We are going with a ‘bold’ prediction for the film. At the moment, even though the Aditya Chopra factor is driving the collections, cracks were visible at smaller centres on the second day itself. The word-of-mouth seems to be mixed to negative, but we should get a clearer picture only on Wednesday.
We expect Befikre to finish with lifetime box office collections of 58 crore. The prediction could go horribly wrong, but we don’t think the film will be able to take advantage of the competition free second week.

Ranveer despite of the failure of befikre (if it fails ) will not b harmed as everyone has called him the best thing abt the film & the film has managed to pull of a decent Weekend solely bcz of his stardom. His next with his fav bhansali. bhansali was horribly out of form before he met ranveer & delivered two major hits -RamLeela Bajirao. They complement each other very well & Padmavati’s story is absolutely fab from watever i have read online. Expecting it to b another huge hit..
Ranveers career is going very well but yes, Befikre success would hv pushed him very close to superstardom
But right now Ranbir Ranveer Varun stardom is very similar. Bankable big youth stars on their way to make it big. RK has edged past them thanx to adhm & his superb phase during 2009-2013 period
