Bang Bang continued its good run on its second day at the domestic box office with net collections of Rs 24.08 cr on Friday. The film has held up well in most parts of the country with drops in the range of 10-20% on Day 2.
Friday was a holiday in a few states for Dusshera, while Saturday will be a holiday in other parts. All three days, including the opening day (Gandhi Jayanti), were not pan-India national holidays like Independence Day.
Bang Bang has now collected Rs 51.62 crore in 2 days and could cross the 100 crore mark on Sunday if business picks up. Monday is also a holiday in some parts of India for Bakri-eid.

@indicine first of all SOS is not Haider and jthj is not bang bang kind of high voltage action movie. During jthj and SOS battle was 55-45 % considering star cast, release size, genre, ( SOS had higher budget than jthj) buzz etc but in here bang bang vs Haider bet was 80-20% in favour of bang bang. Haider was never for box office. In fact in ur prediction u said Haider had a poor advance and bang bang has better than ce, kick and slightly below D3 Then suddenly how come Haider turn as a biggie and big competitor to bang bang. Believe if Haider released on solo it would have gone in noticed on box office like many critically acclaimed film. And banner dosent play role to get good opening otherwise dawat e ishq could have open 10 cr at least. I m not saying bang bang is failure it should have done atleast 30 cr considering national holiday, 3500 screens, weak opponent (at least on first day) 27 cr is still excellent but not in same level of any khans movies. Before I used to say hritik is bigger crowd puller than salman but now I must have to say opposite.

Bang Bang hold pretty well, 45 cr in 2 days for Hindi is good figure considering clash and screen.though its not extra ordinary but nor bad too.I think wom is also not bad so film will cross easily if it not had drastic crash but 200cr is looking impossible.

Abt travelling all across globe without a passport… He never travelled through plane.. In ETT, Salman & Kat travelled via Plane so they needed visa & passport.. But Hrithik mostly travelled using Boat, jet skis, Helicopter… Which he can easily manage considering he is a Spy… (As kat & SalmN managed to get. Private plane at end in ETT) Or may be ISS provided those things…

I like bang bang coz it is entertaining I am giving edge to bang bang coz first time in Bollywood the action stunts looked realistic.
As for opening is concerned any A grade actor like Salman hrithik aamir srk ajay can get bigger opening on holiday

But can you ask your mate nipun, that always looks for sense in our favorite actor’s films, to shut up and stop find faults in others’ films? Meanwhile, he has miserably failed to talk about the logic in countless scenes in Bang Bang!

@sht: oh plz stop overrating khans and underestimating Hrithik. K3 did 25.5 crorer on opening day that too with non holiday and pre-diwali release and even at 4th day,it did around 36 crores.
BangBang has done a good job in day 1 . Around 28 crores is satisfactory. Remember, it lost around 4-5 crores due to clash as the no. of shows per day will decrease per day. Like indicine said, some theaters had even less number of shows per day than mary kom. Again, the the combine effect of cricket match,durga puja in evening and night shows and negativity against BangBang plus extremely positive reports for haider must have affected it by 2-3 crores.
Had it got a solo release, it would have got 4200 screens like kick and there wouldn’t have opposite choice like haider for audience.in this way, bang bang would have easily broken d3?s opening record.

@Dev since when Gandhi jayanti became partial holiday. Last year besharam did 21 cr despite not so huge buzz, unknown heroine, 3100 screen, no good song and obviously ranbeer is no hr. I don’t hate hr and see I haven’t comment anything negative about hr and bang bang related post. But I was expecting more than 30 cr (including regional languages) in any worst case. That’s y I jumped into discussion. 27 cr is not bad on first day but second 24 cr is poor on 3400 screen. Even ra1 did 25 cr on its second day with 2700 screen despite bad product and huge negativity and that too way back 2011. At least bang bang wom is not that bad. Atleast there something to watch action and songs.
