Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan has recorded the 4th highest single day collections in the history of the Hindi film industry. The second day collections of the film is only lower than the first day collections of Happy New Year (44.97 crore), third day of PK (38.24 crore) and third day of Dhoom 3 (38.03 crore).
The ticket prices of Bajrangi Bhaijaan vary from place to place. At some high-end multiplexes, the ticket prices are higher than PK, while at many others prices are comparable to Happy New Year.

I was going through these articles and most of the websites claim that bajrangi bhaijaan collected far less than bahubali’s first day collection, I.e 50cr. As far as I remember 50 cr was bahubali’s worldwide collection. How can the media compare domestic collection of bajrangi and worldwide collection of bahubali?

3rd day: after Eid day muslims don’t watch, they sleep, next day school, next day of big holiday etc etc.
4th day: working day, the day after sunday, Mumbai building collapse etc etc.
5th day tuesday: day before wednesday, tufaan in Ghana, I became sick
6th day wednesday: truck accident in Bangladesh, fish killed in high grossing east punjaab etc etc.
7th day thursday: spaceship reached pluto, bhai fan commited suicide in facebook etc etc
2nd week: bhai fan commited suicide using rope from grass, economical failure of Greece, bhai didn’t sleep etc etc
3rd week: Drishyam release, asylum patients gone crazy, modi didn’t eat etc etc
4th week: indicine is wrong, BOI is wrong, Producer is wrong, bhai is wrong, BB collected more than Marigold etc etc

Baahubaali is still doing steady business down south (was doing considerable business untill fri & sat in north india till the release of BB) and has surely impacted BB as the most premier theatres are still running baahuballi over BB in south and if not for Baahubali’s phenomal run BB would have earned at least 3-4 crores from south india if not more , so BB couldn’t net more than 30 crores on opening day bcos of Baahubali & also bcos of it being the last Friday before eid (out of salman’s countless fans it is estimated that 60% of them are Muslims) but still no excuses bcos 27+ crores opening on a pre-eid non holiday is superb though not record breaking but a very huge 36+ crores 2nd day has taken the 2 day total to 63+ crores & today’s collections would be more or at least as much as the yesterday’s so 100 crores is more or less confirmed & if night shows continue with the trend then even 40+ crores is a possibility , so overall it looks like a 100- 104 crores weekend for BB which would be extraordinary .
It’s very rare that Indian cinema comes up with 2 path breaking movies in a span of 1 week so first Baahubali & now BB have really made Indian cinema industry very proud and their collections are equally encouraging for future directors to come up with such great movies .
The audiences appreciation for BB is extremely +ve and so it is expected to have a very good run in both india & overseas till Drishyam arrives , so I am expecting a 220-235 crores 2 week collection for BB till the release of Drishyam & depending on the reception it gets BB’s final collections will be accordingly .
BB will still anyway do 250 crores minimum & will come close to D3’s collections and still could be the 2nd movie after PK to do 300 crores in India and BB really deserves to be so, so fingers crossed let’s see how much it can eventually collect .
