Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani is set to win the much-hyped box office clash, as the epic historical has sustained very well at the box office on Monday. The film has now collected Rs 57.03 crore in just 4 days.
Quite a few people in the trade who we spoke to prior to the release of the film, had feared that the Ranveer Singh starrer might finish below the 70 crore mark. The fact that the film has already collected nearly 60 crore in 4 days is in itself a big win.
Apart from Day 1, the momentum was always with Bajirao Mastani. We had earlier mentioned that the strong weekend trend would ensure a solid hold on Monday. However, the mere 10-15% drop from Friday was even better than expected.
The gap between Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale will now begin to shrink in the next few days. The next test will come on the big holiday for Christmas. The advantage will be with Bajirao Mastani as we enter the holiday week, because films that perform well during the weekdays, end up with higher number of screens and shows in Week 2.
Remember there are two major holidays in the coming week and with excellent mouth publicity, Bajirao Mastani could be a seriously big grosser. A big lesson for analysts, the power of word-of-mouth should never ever be underestimated.

My only complaint near Rohit Shetty why He didn’t add any good comedy in DILWALE instead of huge drama that only YASHJI/ADITYA/KJO sirs can do?
Anyways but DILWALE is the most sensible film among Rohit Shetty movies but IT lacks of huge comedy like others,that’s the problem.
All film from Ra One to DILWALE entertainment contents were less in KING SRK’S movies except CE.
but being A FAN ,I must have to accept KING KHAN need to work on content.but I also want in near future HE should again work with Rohit but inna well planned entertaining script.

and don’t forget your idol lost to Ranbir Kapoor,Emraan hashmi in last decade.if DILWALE will lost the clash then it solely due to Rohit Shetty just like Farah in HNY.
And one thing for sure KING KHAN can never lost to any big stars from Hrithik to salmir .so defeating from Bajirao indicates Rohit Shetty defeated from bansali,because everybody knows monkey ranveer is not even 1% of stardom what KING SRK HOLDS.
NEXT YEAR KING KHAN WILL BACK WITH FAN AND RAEES.wait for that day haters,your mouth is going to shut forever.

Its still early to count out dilwale, yes it wont perform as much as @indicine n others predicted, but it still cld put up good numbers in lifetime.. if bajrao sustains really well, both films might end up with similar numbers! A combined total of 320+ cr n that is no mean achievement even for dilwale with clash!! Yes wld be less for an srk starrer but he himself is to be blamed for not doin justice 2 his super talent n wasting it in trying to match salman since dabanng.. not a single movie that does justice to his class did he attemp since mnik!! Only ce was blockbuster but tat too was a masala movie althgh a much better 1!!

Why i like srk i don’t know. But from my childhood i get excited for srk movies. The fact is that dilwale hurt me so much. Why srk,Why u play such a bakwas movie? We awaits ur movie as festival but u let down our feeling. We want our star to play damdar movie ,not a lazy movie. It is the fan that get more tensed and troubled when their superstar flim get failed. Look the FANS of salman khan and aamir. They give solid movie and their fan are proud of them. But look to our superstar Srk ,he gives us crap movie like hny and dilwale which make us feel so sad. When get out of the theater from the last 4 5 years watching srk movies, we are getting cheated. The enjoyment that salman and aamir flim gives is lacking in ur movie why? Make a nice movie ,have a damdar script then even after 1000 clash nobody can defeat you. Its not abt SRK, SLB or Ranveer, its about better cinema and why it must be appreciated. Since Blockbuster success of Ghajini, Wanted and Dabangg, there have been so many mindless masala potboilers destroyed our sense of entertainment.
Actor, Star, Superstar were only worried about making a potpourie ‘something for everyone’ crap but what no one realised that audience is really tired of regular churn of the mill stuff.
Writing was there on the wall post HNY that this genre has lost its sheen. Salman understood it and immediately shifted to family genre. Aamir understood it and followed D3 with a social satire PK. Akki is learning it the hard way.
Let the era of good movie begin.
