Bajirao Mastani has collected Rs 46.78 crore in its first weekend at the box office, showing growth of 21% on Saturday and 19% on Sunday, inspite of competition from a big film like Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale.
The film is carrying excellent word of mouth, which should ensure a strong hold on Monday and possibly good collections for the remaining weekdays too.
The fact that Bajirao Mastani has shown incredible growth even at centres where it did not open well on Friday, suggests that the film has gone from being limited to the Maharashtra-Gujarat audience to holding appeal for audience all over the country.
Bajirao Mastani is already the 4th highest grosser of Ranveer Singh career, behind Ram Leela (115 crore), Gunday (78 crore) and Dil Dhadakne Do (77 crore). Looking at the weekend trends, it has every chance of going on to be his biggest grosser.

on other side people should not forget that Dilwale has done fantastic business worldwide, even in domestic 64cr weekend is not bad though its underperformed here because of various reason.But rocked in overseas market 8.5 million $ in weekend is incredible, only next to D3. So a 145cr ww weekend is indeed great.
Bajirao on other hand collected 85cr ww, that too very impressive. overall the combine highest first weekend domestic,overseas and worldwide has been created. so a celebration time for trade.
BTW its heaetning to see that official collection of both films is almost equal to trade source. Kudos to both producers for the same.

@Myanmar forget double figure, if Bajirao managed even 8 plus then I will stop commenting here. One more thing bajirao is no where close 2 ramleela . Ramleela was Totally entertaining nd it also had the soul . Bajirao would have finished on 95-100 if there would not hve been Christmas. Not more then 120 lifetime. Nvr doubt my predictions.
y all haters are not thinking that with less screen and protest and show cancellation still dilwale is way ahead of bhajipao mastani and u saying india show aukaat then what happened to lallu when jai ho release it coudnt even get clear hit. and i show here in africa all show are going full for not dilwale and bhajipao going empty. people are going to watch bhajipao cuz they didnt get ticket for dilwale. so just think about it. srks dilwale will have more world wide collection in india.
