Bajirao Mastani has collected Rs 10.3 crore on Day 9 at the box office, crossing the 100 crore mark. The film is Ranveer Singh’s second 100 crore grosser. He now has the same number of 100 crore films as Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan.
The collections, both on Christmas holiday and the following day, hasn’t really matched trade expectations, because the film was expected to go from strength to strength after excellent business during the weekdays.
With two holidays left (Sunday and New Year), Bajirao Mastani is now looking at lifetime business of around Rs 160 - 165 crore.
Both Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani haven’t been able to take full advantage of the Christmas weekend.

I saw BM on Friday 25th Dec with my family . Honestly BM is a pretty ok movie . The first half is very good but the second half is disappointing and the climax is pretty mediocre . Sanjay wanted to show the eternal love between Bajirao and Mastani . But the execution was ok . Ranveer was absolutely flawless as Bajirao and he has delivered his Best Performance . Deepika was also superb as Mastani and Priyanka was brilliant as Kashibai . The sets were outstanding, the cinematography was wonderful and the costumes were completely authentic . This movie is far better than Ram Leela which was a Crap . I think Ranveer is the biggest contender to win the Filmfare Award for Best Actor . Ajay and Akshay were outstanding in Baby and Drishyam respectively but Ranveer was one step ahead in BM . The level of difficulty is also in the favour of Ranveer . The Malhari Song looked completely out of place – A Peshwa never dances in such a manner . The Lotus Mirror concept also looked fake and last but not the least the war sequences were pretty ordinary . Yes i know this was not a War movie but still the war sequences could have been better . The first war sequence which takes place in Bundelkhand is ok but nothing exceptional . The second war sequence when Ranveer single handedly kills 100s of soldiers looks like a masala sequence . So in short BM had the potential to be a classic but it is not . BM is definitely not the Best Movie of 2015 . I will not compare with Bahubali but BM is not better than Jodhaa Akbar . The success of BM proves two things – People are tired of Commercial Potboilers and Masala movies & People are willing to watch different kind of movies even on festivals . Sanjay Bhansali and Eros showed confidence and refused to postpone BM and it is denting the collections of Dilwale in India in a big way . Finally Sanjay Sir will be happy to get the upper hand after badly failing in 2007 with Saawariya .

Drop was inevitable as Friday was a holiday. I would say still great collections considering ticket prices are lower now compared to 1st weekend, and the genre is still unfavorable when it comes to family or younger audience. Considering all the factors and the clash with a multi-starrer, 10+ crores on each day of 2nd weekend is excellent. Monday will decide whether it crosses 180 crores or not.
Blockbuster BAJIRAO is going to cross 155cr mark in it’s lifetime collections.
BAJIRAO’s collections is more than expectations that can’t be engine with clash with multistarer DILWALE.
But multistarer Dilwale is not going with anyone’s expectations because of crappiest film after HNY
