Shashank Khaitan’s Badrinath Ki Dulhania has surpassed the lifetime business of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to become the 3rd highest grosser for Dharma Productions – after Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Agneepath.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania is the highest solo career grosser for both Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. Shashank Khaitan’s second directorial venture has also surpassed the business of Karan Johar’s big-budget Diwali release ‘Ae Dil Hai Muskhil’.

yrf faced many flops & specially mega budget flops like Fan in recent time.
yrf came late to Megastars Salman & Aamir… specially Salman.
But ‘Der aaye durust aaye as Salman & Aamir are only actors who has 100% Hit record in working with Big Banners (Salman has 100% Blockbuster record with yrf).
Dharma is quite unlucky as Karan missed golden opportunity to get The Salman Khan in board.
But I think this problem was remained with Karan from starting as he was worked with small Stars in initial days & now also he is doing same.
Look at Dharma’s list now…it not got big numbers but expect Angeepath other top films are from new comers…that’s we can call power of a Big Banner.
But it’s easy to convert those 100’s into 300’s if you have Salman & Aamir in your film.
Dharma missed that but yrf gathered it…yes late got it right.

Varun dhawan is officially the biggest young superstar. I dont know why this jerk indicine still calls ranbir kapoor 6th biggest crowd puller in Q&A? Ranbeer is inconsistent in terms of opening as well as hits. Varun has given 8 back to back hits and none of his film has flopped so far. He is consistent in opening as well as hit verdict. He has never given a disaster like bombay velvet. So he is already bigger star than ranbeer. Ranbeer needs Dharma, deepika and many such +ve factors in favour to make a hit but varun does it with or without big banners or actresses. So he should be biggest young crowd puller and 5th best crowd puller in india.
