Baar Baar Dekho has been rejected by the audience, as the film has completely crashed on Sunday. The lowest day of the weekend was Sunday, which suggests that the trend is somewhat similar to ‘Shaandaar’ last year.
While ‘Shaandaar’ went on to touch 40 crore because of the holiday on its opening day, Baar Baar Dekho even with a partial holiday for Bakrid (today) will wrap with lifetime business of around 30 crore.
The problem seems to be the content, which appealed to a very small section of the audience. Unfortunately, the trend has made it quite clear that even the target audience at metro cities has rejected the film.
Baar Baar Dekho is a huge setback for Katrina Kaif. Age is no longer on her side and two back-to-back disasters, including ‘Fitoor’ earlier this year’, could be the beginning of the end for her glorious career. Acting talent or not, during her prime, Katrina was one of the most successful and popular female stars of all time.
For Sidharth Malhotra, it’s a case of two extremes this year. A super successful outing with ‘Kapoor & Sons’ followed by a film that was rejected outright.

Lifetime will be around 33 crs, which should have been the weekend figure.
Karan Johar deserves this failure.
Now if ADHM will be content less then lifetime would be 50-55 crs.
Hit songs can’t save the movie for a long period.
If ADHM songs will be chartbuster,then it can only help in the initial figure not final.

Kapoor & Sons was not a Super Success.
It earned 62cr (Trade). It was a clean hit not super hit. Fox star gave 73cr figure.
Same happened wid other Fox movies like Bang Bang, PRDP, Finding Fanny, Brothers, etc
Kapoor & Sons worked because of Fawad’s screen presence & fantastic acting
