S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum-opus ‘Baahubali’ will be getting the widest ever re-release. The 2015 classic will be releasing on 1000 screens across India today (7 April), three weeks before the second part ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ hits theatres worldwide.
Filmmaker Karan Johar, who was instrumental in taking the dubbed Hindi version to the Pan-India audience, said “When a movie continues to be topical for two years, you know people are loving every bit of it! Both, exhibitors and film lovers, have approached us to make Baahubali a binge-watching experience. Hence, we are re-releasing the first part on April 7th with a special offer that takes care of tickets for both parts. We’re excited. April will witness the biggest movie event ever!”
Produced by ARKA entertainment, Directed by S.S Rajamouli, ‘Baahubali’ stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty and Satyaraj. The second part will release in theatres on April 28th 2017.

I think this is a masterstroke by the Producers as those people who have not seen Bahubali can watch on the big screen . Bahubali is the kind of film that is only made for big screen experience . Top notch action sequences, grand scale, top class VFX, spellbinding Cinematography and engaging screenplay . If Bahubali 2 is better than Bahubali in terms of content and war sequences there will be a hurricane at the Box Office . People are anxiously waiting to watch Bahubali 2 . Also if this idea clicks this can create a new path of re releasing classic films again for the audience . Jai Maheshmati !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who would waste their money on a movie which they have already watched on television in last two years, its a dumb decision by makers. Instead of it they should have waste this black money on promotions.

They could have unloaded it on youtube with better print and use money spent on re releasing in promoting bahubali 2 more like launching games on play store or making merchandise and other stuffs. It could make a difference on opening….
I’m sorry, but I think its a highly overrated 2 part saga. First movie had nothing except the war scene. It was laughable at times.
