It’s that time of the year when one big film has just released in theatres and has performed reasonably well at the box office. The industry now has high expectations from the remaining 4 major releases this year – Tamasha, Hate Story 3, Bajirao Mastani and of course, the biggest of them all, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale.
Year 2016 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years for the industry too. All the holiday weekends have been blocked by big releases and except Aamir Khan’s Dangal, it’s going to be a year of clashes.

Airlift teaser is very interesting seems movie also because many of us know about 1990 iraq attack on kuwait city. My question about your predication and also you told the its a more multiplex movie rather then mass why we start penning off the movie even it not release yet. Increasingly we’re seeing that festive releases are doing huge business compared to other weekend releases. Ofcourse Khan factor helps but release timing is very crucial now. Are we now going to see more and more clashes on Eid, Diwali & Christmas as every producer would want these dates. Maybe if Bajirao does very well, it could start this trend?

How can say Baby was Above average? Because Both Baby & Gabbar is Back was made on a similar budget of 75 or 73 crore respectively. baby was collected close to 97 cr & Gabbar is back was just short of 89 cr. Then why Gabbar was declared as a Hit or Baby as above average? ???

@indicine why there are still scarcity of screens in Hindi belt why our Indian cinema has not reached till 8000 – 10000 screens or minimum 7000 screens till now…so if two big movies are releasing on same day then respective studios and production house can get enough screens for their respective product…
The Hindi film Industry is very fortunate to have not one but 4 superstars (Khans+Hrithik Roshan) who have equal appeal to get huge audiences in the theaters for first three days. Do you think the writers/directors have underutilized this enormous potential to make good quality content in large nos with these stars (especially in last ten years)? Even the brilliant Aamir Khan has done only 11 movies (not all of them are great) in last 15 yrs which one would feel is very less.
Why trade and producer figures don’t match for b.o collections for the same movie??? Which actor/production house collections more or less match be it trade sources or producer figures??
I think Indian audience always love and watch Masala/Entertaining Movies instead of movie like Bajirao Mastani. For example Ashoka, Veer etc.
