As a 2009 New year special, we start this new section on our site called “Ask Us”. Its pretty darn straight forward.

Have any query / question about stars, movies, box-office or anything related to Bollywood? Ask Us! Just submit your question(s) below, in the usual comments section. We will try and answer as many questions as we possibly can.

Note – Questions should only be in English and try to be as clear with your question as possible, it will help us understand better.

  • Indicine Team: I can’t wait to see the movie (Paa) for Amitab Bachan..do u think this movie will do well at the box office as Black did for SLB?

    Black wasn’t commercially successful. It recovered its investment, but wasn’t a HIT. Since the budget of Paa is just 15 crores, it has high chances of doing well.

  • please can you put poll of salman that will say that whom they want see salman khan movie with katrina asin or sonakisihi sinha doesnt suit salman khan and future and whuich these suit salman khan in movie.

  • Q 1. Akki’s Hello Idnia was stuck and its heroen is namrita who didnt do any movie since last 10 yrs . i think it took too much time to complete wht do u expect from this movie ? or they shooted it freshly ?
    Q 2. what about singh is king 2 ? are vipul making SIK 2 or not ?
    Q 3. wht do u think which musician can get film fare award for this year and which top 3 best musics are for this year?

    1. The movie was about to go into production way back in 1999, then it was shelved. In 2003 they completed about 25% of the shoot. Again in 2008 more portions were shot. Recently, Akshay completed shooting for the film and it is currently in post production. Box office / content wise don’t expect much.
    2. No news. Shah is currently busy with Action Replay.
    3. We’ll have lots of “best of the year” articles in December.

  • When will the promos of My Name is Khan and Veer come out? Which actor in 2009 was had the best year so far?

    Veer is coming out with De Dana Dan. Could MNIK trailer come out with Kurbaan? We hope so, unlikely though.

    Can’t really answer such questions. Box office is very unpredictable. If the movie is good and loved.. why not?

    Sivaji is a Tamil movie, we have no info. Veer and MNIK – answered above

  • surprising news .never knew abt this. but no star can gurantee a success in box office until the product is good . had bachna ae haseeno wd have been made longer it wd have tanked for sure . becoz the length was just correct otherwise it wd have become a boring movie

    Katrina indeed shot for several sequences for Bachna. Would have been great if included in the DVD (deleted scenes).. Wasn’t!

    Its still running in a few theaters. Should be out by the end of this week

    Too early to give you the exact budget as it also includes marketing costs etc

    Since its a prediction, here you go. Amitabh Bachchan for Paa or Shahid Kapoor for Kaminey. Rajkumar Hirani for 3 Idiots. Female performances have been quite poor this year, anyway, Priyanka Chopra for Whats your Rashee / Kaminey or Kareena Kapoor for 3 Idiots.

    Hrithik’s Guzaarish directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Aamir Khan’s Dhobi Ghat. Abhishek’s film with Ashutosh Gowariker. Akshay’s Khatta Meeta directed by Priyadarshan and Patiala House directed by Nikhil Advani. These are just a few. Release dates for the later half of 2010 haven’t yet been announced.

    Many more films to go this year, we’ll put up our list at the end of the year, including polls for the readers to vote. London Dreams may not win too many awards, it hasn’t done well commercially.

    Dilha Mil Gaya won’t open big. It is expected to open lower than Billu. De Dana Dan opening should be huge

    They wont clash. Both will eat into each others business and since these days first week’s are so very crucial, there is no way they could.

    The budget wasn’t exactly as high as we were told by the makers. Overall, it has failed to recover investment.

    i know thw ques is related mostly to hollywood and a little bollwood but i would be glad if u could ans this.

    It should. And it has affected Tum Mile big time. Both were movies on ‘disasters’ and unfortunately the Bollywood release has suffered.

    1. Have you seen his first 2 films? If they are anything to go by, Hirani with Aamir as his lead star, should sweep all awards if 3 idiots is even close to as good as Munnabhai films.
    2. 20 crore is impossible now, 2012 has affected collections of Tum Mile, which just wasn’t expected.
    3. Ghajini, Dhoom 2, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Om Shanti Om…

    Rajneeti has Nana Patekar, Katrina, Ranbir, Arjun Rampal, Naseeruddin Shah. It will release in January.
