As a 2009 New year special, we start this new section on our site called “Ask Us”. Its pretty darn straight forward.

Have any query / question about stars, movies, box-office or anything related to Bollywood? Ask Us! Just submit your question(s) below, in the usual comments section. We will try and answer as many questions as we possibly can.

Note – Questions should only be in English and try to be as clear with your question as possible, it will help us understand better.

  • 1.You don’t seem to have good views about Deepika?Does this show that critics are biased towards actors as each critic has a liking for one or other actor?

    Its just that we haven’t yet liked any of her performance. No question of being biased.

  • Vinshal: years passed, since Asoka was released, and I’m still angry that this movie didn’t work for indian ppl as well as Dil Se.. me too.. cried in the last scene of this movie.. one scene of Asoka is 100 time better than the entire movie Wanted.. it’s like comparing a diamond with steell!!

  • Ofcourse true Fathiya… how wanted became a hit??? unbelievable… salman is havin some real problem with his acting… wat happened to him… his every expression is the same… i think he forgot how to act… and before just as i said Main aur Mrs. Khanna wil be a typical old salman film… its being a disaster in boxoffice.. am i right Indicine???

    Yes, Main Aur Mrs Khanna is a disaster. Wanted a super-hit. London dreams – average.

    Endhiran will release next year. Budget is huge, some say 80 crores. Are you from Tamilnadu, Rajni fan?

    Exactly, you just cannot compare Asoka with Wanted. Two different movies, without absolutely no comparison.

  • Vinshal: u know what.. do u know that I came to a conclusion now that Salman’s acting which didn’t satisfy us.. satisfy u me and lots of others has a reason.. Salman is “smart” as he used to do movies to satisfy the audience only.. the problem isn’t in Salman Khan’s acting or the roles he plays on screen, but the problme is “the audience” the audience love him this way!! to do some silly acting and behave like joker!
    So.. Salman Khan for sure received the criticisum about his acting and tried to be serious and act like decent.. the audience just rejected him! rejected his movie Main aur Mrs. Khanna.. they didn’t want him in this form!

    I saw Main aur Mrs Khanna today at cinema.. the movie wasn’t bad at all, I thought that I’ll get bored, I was hesitated to go and see it coz of bad comments by ppl, but today, while visitng chakpak website and I read some positive reviews, so I decided to go and see it.. I’ve enjoyed it.. at least the movie was better than Blue, and I didn’t sleep throughout the movie.

    Sudeep: happy? did I prove to u now that I got nothing against yr hero, and I don’t hate Salman Khan or biased for Shahrukh.. and how much I repeat this sentence I’m sure that u don’t believe whatever I say!

    one more thing that i never understand why ppl want to impose their opinion on other(general public ) and think that only they knw abt acting ,screenplay and junta is nuts which reject the movie or accpet the movie . i knw it’ll be difficult for u to answer indicine but still feel surprised when i think abt this

    What you like, I may not like and vice versa. And there are millions of people, from different backgrounds, cultures etc. What appeals down south, doesn’t work up North. What works overseas with the NRI’s may not work with the people of India. So to each his own. A classic that you might watch 10 times, might put someone else to sleep on first viewing. Like Om Shanti Om did to us, hard to believe its the biggest blockbuster ever!

    3. Not many in the industry have seen 3 Idiots, except the makers. You cant expect a honest answer from them, can you?

    u said AK has to do roles with substance….my Q…
    1. was he nominated for Namastey Londen, Waqt,Jaanwar & Khakee which for me and critics were liked the most.
    2. last yr’s Tashan dont u think the role played by AK can be seldom done better by any other actor, this again was appreciated by Critics.
    the above things make me feel that u get nominated only if its a popular role and i thnk this was the same reason y aamir started neglecting the award functions, i thnk it happened to him for jo jeeta wohi sikhander.
    1. Was Akshay popular then? He wasn’t even in the Top 10 two year ago! Dont you know our 100+ awards and its nominations are meant only for superstars? He is big now, he will be nominated for Singh Is King. Its sad but true, only big stars get nominations doesnt matter how poor the performance is. Our awards really do suck!
    2. Tashan was a poor film. Poor films dont receive nominations.
    To be honest Akshay does deserve an award, he is one of the biggest success stories in the industry today!

    iam talking abt the line where u say AKKi was not even in top 10 before 2007 . please get ur facts right 1997-98 i think turned bad for him otherwise he was always in top 5 since khiladi .
    and who were 10 actors above him SRK, SAllu,AAmir admitted who were rest 7 ahead of him . please dont tell me saif , sunny deol,bobby deol etc etc .
    i think he was always in top 5 except just 2 years

    Sunny Deol was one of the top actors till 2000. Even Govinda had a huge fan following.

    But that “not even in the Top 10” was a bit exaggerated. What we meant was, till 2000 the Khan’s ruled and were by far the biggest stars and then 2000 onwards Hrithik joined them. Akshay was considered a superstar only after his back-to-back hits that started from 2006.

  • Q: i m from pakitan but settled in sydney at a moment. in pak Tumbin was blockbuster ( it wanst release in cinema but every one watched that movie in CDs or VCRs ) people specially young boys n girls were crazy abt this movie. in every chat rooms most of the people kept nick tumbin even i had my id nauman_tumbin , one time i met a girl and asked from her did u see any new movie she siad i dont like indian movies but i watched TUMBIN it is realy awesom.
    i want to ask that why movie didnt get good business in india and even paki youngster could like that movie why indians didnt like and if u will give the review on that movie that how many stars will u give ??? n could u please tekll me abt positive n begative points of that movie . n why priynshu didnt get good movies after that even heroen did good job but she also couldnt get good movies. whyyy plz tell me. i ll be very thankful to u.

    Jatin Lalit split after Fanaa, which was their last project together. They are working as independent music composers now but haven’t achieved much success.

  • i dont have a question at a moment i hv one request , trailer of Hera pheri was superb and i think it was a best trailer i ever seen and i remeber every single sceen and every single dialogue of that trailer but i cant see it any moe coz 9 yrs has gone i tried my best to search it in youtube but i couldnt find it.
    indicine could u please help me abt this matter can u send me link or tell me how can i find that trailer ??? plzzzzzzzzzzzz

    2.When will we see Katrina Opposite Hrithik? They make Really Hot Pair isn’t it?
    3.Is Guzaarish Hrithik’s Most Challenging Role?

    1. Not confirmed.
    2. Yup, they would make a great pair. Katrina has in the past, said she would love to work with Hrithik.
    3. Should be. Maybe not as challenging as Koi Mil Gaya, but should indeed be a very difficult role to portray.

    i also liked the muv tum bin. but i think it was about luck.

    have u watched rehna hai tere dil mein? 90 % pple liked the muv. i watched it many time. but it also shared same fate as tum bin. andaaz apna apna ( aamir, salman) was most probably a flop.

    Add to it – Socha Na Tha, Johnny Gadar, Hera Pheri, Dil Chahta Hai and many more.

    i guess indicine is busy with the website.

    Do Knot Disturb has released. Except more flop films to premier within the first two weeks on release on DTH.

    Yes, busy with the new design and lots of new features. It is turning out to be bigger than we expected it to be. Stay tuned, hope you guys like it.

    I want to know that why hasn’t yet Aatif Aslam gotten any awards for best playback singer male. Every single song he sung for any bollywood picture turn out to be a gold and massive hit with the public.
    In my opinion he is Pakistani that’s why he hasn’t gotten any award.
    I want to know your opinion on this.

    I don’t think its because he is a Pakistani. Out of hundreds of songs each year, just one song wins it. He has just been plain unlucky, he should get one soon.

  • Pakistani or Hindustani doesn’t matter, Art doesn’t know all this, an artist is artist.

    Atif Aslam doesn’t deserves any award and it doesn’t hv anything to do that he’s Pakistani,Rahat Fateh Ali Khan deserves many awards…..though he’s Pakistani. We love your voice Rahat ji.

    As movie looks really good. Does the movie have the ability to become the biggest grosser of the year?

    Being a Salman Fan, I’m keeping my fingers crossed. All the best Salman.

    Unfortunately, as of now it seems like an average grosser at best. It has to sustain against tough competition next week. Sorry to disappoint you.
