As a 2009 New year special, we start this new section on our site called “Ask Us”. Its pretty darn straight forward.

Have any query / question about stars, movies, box-office or anything related to Bollywood? Ask Us! Just submit your question(s) below, in the usual comments section. We will try and answer as many questions as we possibly can.

Note – Questions should only be in English and try to be as clear with your question as possible, it will help us understand better.

  • ofcourse wanted is a hit… but comparing to tamil film, Pokiri… salman was too boring comparing to Vijay in tamil…dont u think so… even the songs are not good as pokiri.. wats ur opinion

  • i dont remember the name of movie.. its old one of SRK..the heroine goes topless in the bedroom scene wit SRK… i was amased…. wat made SRK to act in such a scene as he is a clean family star…

    Look a lot depends on the success you achieve as an actor. When he did Maya Memsaab, the movie your talking about, he was struggling.

    Maya Memsaab was directed by Ketan Mehta and the lead actress was his wife Deepa Sahi.

    2.Critics and audience have been saying that Love Aaj Kal is not like Jab We Met? Is this comparison fair?

    1. Movie is releasing on 12th Feb 2010. Its about a man (Farhan Akhtar) who gets calls from himself. He gets a call everyday at 5. Movie also stars Deepika Padukone.

    2. Why not? Both movies have been directed by the same director. Jab We Met is an evergreen movie, a movie that will be watched for many years, with brilliant performances. Love Aaj Kal comparatively was pretty average, performances weren’t upto the mark either.

    Totally agree with you. Anil Kapoor stole the show from every other actor in No Entry, he was outstanding especially that scene when Lara catches him red-handed with Bipasha Basu. We thought he was pretty good in Race too.

    Regarding lead roles, he just might. He doesn’t look older than the Khan’s.. what do you think?

  • When is the release date of Hrithik’s Kites? u already said during Diwali and Diwali is this month.. Kites wasn’t among the movie’s list which u hv mentioned on one of the pages.

    We also published a news article which clearly mentioned that the movie has been postponed to December 2009 or January 2010. It should release in January for sure!

  • can u say the films directed by ketan mehta…hav his wife Deepa Sahi acted in any other films other than maya memsaab

    Some of his recent films are – Rang Rasiya, Mangal Pandey. And Deepa Sahi acted in films like Oh Darling Yeh Hai India (1995), Bhookamp (1993), Siyasat (1992).

  • I heard that Director of BLUE is going LA for mixing of the movie …Lot of amount of money is costing for movie,mixing of movie but i still feel tht its promotion is not done like the promotion of Wanted ,Ghajni and other movies……

    i read the interview of Director of the movie blue .He said somewhat like this”Story of movie doesnot have to be very good…It is just for entertainment.I want people to watch the movie ,enjoy it and goes home back…”read in bollywoodhungama” CAn this mean”BLUE have not got good content/script”??my gut feeling say it will be totally flopped and from this interview,My feeling goes even more …

    Hmmm. Well.. The best comparison for a movie like BLue would probably be Luck. Fortunately the opening of Luck was encouraging, even though the movie was pretty average.. So all depends on the content or in Blue’s case the thrill. Remember Dhoom 2 didn’t have much of a storyline either but did Blockbuster business. So let’s patiently wait for the release, then the box office opening. By next Friday the verdict would be out :)

    As of now around 55 crores. Still the first choice at single screens

    Didn’t exactly understand your question. If the box office fate of the Bobby Deol movie is what your asking then.. It did around 5 – 6 crores of business.

  • Whatever happened to Madhu Kapoor, the noted actress of the late seventies and early eighties? She starred in movies like Manokaamna(1980), Commander(1981) and Jeevan Dhara(1982)? Where is she now? Is she married? If so, to whom? Does she have children?

    As of now, we do not know any info on her. We’ll get back to you on this

    A. Obviously I pray they will fall in love with it. Mainly I just hope they can see the effort and hardship that has been done by all of us, we all want people to at least walk out the cinema and say “wow what a dangerous movie”. I of all people know that ‘different’ doesn’t always work, but I’ll never stop attempting new things, otherwise we would all be going around in the same circles in the cinema world…

    Not true, Farah hasn’t even completed scripting the movie

  • whats about bajirao mastani and sahib biwi aur ghulam (salman khan)? whats the problem with these films having been so delayed?

    Both shelved for now, Bajirao Mastani because Ash rejected the role as the main lead was Salman Khan. Bhansali is working on Guzaarish with Hrithik.

Wha is Asin?! a new actress who got only one bollywood movie in her credit!! actually Shahrukh must reject doing a movie with her.. and if she did and that’s true.. so thank God.. shahrukh deserves better actresses to be his costar and there’s no chemistry ( atl all) between Shahrukh & Asin.. she’s good with Aamir, Salman, Akshay.. that’s all

    London Dreams should open well. But with Aladin releasing on the same day, should give tough competition.

    When Jab We Met released, Imtiaz Ali was not as huge a director as he is today. Jab We Met opened to an average response, but picked up with great word of mouth. Don’t just go by box office numbers, several small budget films (like A Wednesday) are way better than most big biggies today.

    few stunts look like torque. one of my frnd says he has watched a muv which ha similar plot: underwater> treasure>sharks. but he doesnt remember the name correctly. can u comment anything abt this?

    Inspired? There are rumours that the movie is a remake of the 1977 Hollywood movie “The Deep”.

    Yes, it has been a disappointing year for Akshay. And although Kambakht Ishq did reasonably well, it was as bad as the other two movies.

  • Could you please tell me what a single screen is compared to a multiplex? Please no links, just a brief comparison.

    Single Screen is a theater with just one screen that run just a single movie (usually) with 4 – 5 shows everyday. The tickets are cheap and hence the quality of seats, sound system, toilets etc are not upto the mark.

    Multiplexes have multiple screens and shows everyday. Tickets are priced high!

    Negative role doesn’t really mean a side-role. Hrithik won the best actor for Dhoom 2 and it was a negative role. Akshay’s role in Ajnabee was the meatiest and it won him several awards.

    Very familiar with the dialogue. But unable to recollect the film. Anyone else can answer this?

    While we liked Heyy Babyy on first watch, on repeat watch on DVD it seemed more like a 2 star movie (below average).

    Houseful will be a real test both for Akshay and Sajid. Lets hope its indeed a clever comedy, something that Akshay needs the most at the moment!

    Gut feeling is it cant repeat the success of Wanted. But it all depends on the content. If the movie is good, it will work!

  • Sudeep: Asin declared last day tat she havnt rejected happy new year with SRK.. infact she was not even offered the role by Farah khan… she also said tat acting with SRK is her biggest dream.. am i right Indicine??

    That’s right. Dont see any reason why Asin would reject being a apart for an SRK film. It would be great for her career.
