Yesterday, Karan Johar became yet another celebrity to talk about intolerance. Although the director never spoke about ‘growing intolerance’ and instead was referring to the lack of ‘freedom of expression’.
Now, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has supported Karan Johar over his remarks.
“Karan Johar right. Only one person in this country can publicly talk about his ‘mann ki baat’. No one else can do that,” Kejriwal tweeted on Saturday.
While speaking about homosexuality in films and society, as well as of the stigma attached to it, Karan said: “What do I say… Revealing in today’s time can land you in jail”
“We are in a tough country to speak about your personal life and I feel really sad about it because being a public figure you are expected to helm a certain movement, talk about freedom of expression, which is the biggest joke in the world. Democracy is the second biggest joke I think.”

If there was no freedom of speech, wouldn’t he be in jail today?
Karan was never talking about intolerance.. he just said he can’t express about his homosexuality. He was always a homosexual, why didn’t he talk about it before the current government came???
His comments have been misinterpreted by the media and the likes of Kejriwal are giving political angle to it.
Freedom of expression is granted to us by constitution…
It means we should talk sense…
It should not be misused by making haphazard statements and disrupt communal harmony….

But I personally decided not watch these two khans movies because I was hurt and clear disrespect of current govt. this is my right to decide what I want to follow and what not . does it make me intolerant ? No.. If they hv certain rights to blabber anything , I have same rights to reject something. I didn’t requested others to boycott , that’s my personal decision.
