The Salman Khan household is gearing up for its first wedding in more than 15 years, as Salman’s little sister Arpita Khan will marry Aayush Sharma in a grand wedding that will take place at ‘Taj Falaknuma Palace’ in Hyderabad on November 16.
The guest list will include the who’s who of the film fraternity, stars from the Hindi, Telugu and Tamil film industry’s are expected to be invited for the wedding. Shahrukh Khan too is said to be in the guest list.
At an event to celebrate children’s month at Kidzania, SRK said he would be attending the wedding as Arpita is like his sister.
Khan said “She’s (Arpita) is like my sister. I have seen her from childhood. I will attend the wedding… I dont know if I have received the invitation or not..”
The cost of the wedding is said to be in crores. The venue itself will be costing two crores.

After being part of back-to-back successful films and larger than life films like ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Happy New Year’, now Shahrukh Khan wants to do a small budget and small set up film.
SRK said, “I’m tired of doing larger than life films. It takes a toll physically and emotionally. I’m looking for an interesting small budget and small set up film. Yes, I’m meeting a lot of debutant writers and directors. I want to do a film that has an intense story and not too much glitz and glamour.”
“The impact of a realistic and non-commercial film like Chak De does strike a chord with the audience. A simple film with a strong message and without too much commercialisation is what I’d want to do,” added the superstar.
When asked about the budget of small scale films with his name attached to it, he said, “As an actor, I’ve always believed that a script is what makes a film larger than life. An actor’s name might boost the commercial viability. At the end of the day, a mediocre film will go unnoticed and a good film will be applauded, irrespective of the big names associated with it.”
SRK will be next seen in YRF’s ‘Fan’, in which he will be seen playing a double role.
