Singham Returns has collected Rs 32.09 crore on its opening day at the box office, the 8th highest single day and the 4th highest first day collections of all time! Ajay Devgn has become only the 5th actor to collect more than 30 crores on a single-day after Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan (in that order).
Aamir’s Dhoom 3 is the only film to collect more than 30 crore on a non-holiday and also for three consecutive days – which is a massive achievement!
The 30 crore mark has been surpassed 9 times now and all movies released were after August 15th 2012 (exactly 2 years ago), when Ek Tha Tiger became the first film to collect 30 crore or more.
Aamir has crossed the 30 cr mark thrice, Shahrukh and Salman twice, Hrithik and Ajay once.

There are just 3 films who surprised all trade expectation. And those are D3,ett and biggest of all SR. When i said the crowd in theatre yesterday i was sure the collection of first day will be close to 30cr. It happens now Ajay also did unthinkable with superb film. Hope film will join 200cr. @babaji hahaha d3 had high ticket rates but still 36.22cr wasn’t joke on non holiday while k3 had highest day of 35cr. No doubt k3 collected 31.5cr in 4th day that is huge and terrific collection but just imagine if d3 released on any national holiday it will easily touched 40cr. Now those saying khans are big due to holidays that’s true but other fact is they mostly never disappointed trade on festive occasion. Even hr crossed 100cr mark when Ap got national holiday on first day and k3 diwali, while akki spoiled 15th aug last year,post ipl this year,diwali with blue,action replay and eid with boss. Don’t be hypocrites guys everyone got opportunity on holiday but if they arent able to cash than its not fault of khans.
those who questions Aamir khans stardom should look at 3 idiots collection he crossed 200+ when eveybody were struggling to cross 100 crores haha :p and Ghajini with no bog bames did 100 crores when people were stuggling to reach 80 haha :p
