One of the most entertaining (and exciting) actor-director combos is back again. The team of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan, that have given us huge hits like Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiya, will soon be working on another film together. Another great news is that Rohit Shetty will also be collaborating with them as a producer.
A source close to the project said “Priyadarshan is giving finishing touches to the script of his next Bollywood project and has already signed Akshay for it. This director-actor combination has tasted great commercial success and this is poised to be their eighth film together. It will be a big-budget affair with Rohit Shetty backing it.”
When Priyadarshan was contacted recently, he also said that, “The script has been finalised and rest of the casting is being discussed. It will be a musical comedy; my comeback after a two-year break from the Hindi film industry.”
When it comes to comedy films, after the David Dhawan – Govinda combo, it simply cannot get better than Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar. With the added advantage of Rohit Shetty’s backing, the untitled film is set to be the most keenly awaited film whenever it releases!

AK movies generally make a profit around 40-50 crore each movie.Where as big banner movies with superstar make 200+ crore profit in each movie.But the difference is AK’s producers recover their profit money within 7-8 months and then shifts to other projects.Where big banners get stuck with big movies for atleast 2-3 years to make it a grand. FYI movie ‘Baby’ was made with a budget of 50 crores and the time interval between preproduction and profit was less than 6months.For this reason ‘the combo’ is coming again.
@Rajesh come on Rajesh u can do better. Don’t be mistaken I am not an Ajay fan but yes he is very talented everyone knows that compared to Akki. No match. Even on-screen appearance Ajay always had the solid role be it Insaan suhaag top it all Khakee. I am a Shah rukh fan. Ajay can never be jealous of Akki. Don’t ruin their respect for each other it’s just we fans analysing. I remembered both showed professional friendship when they avoided a clash 3 years back. Ajay has acted with all the leading men top it all Amit sahab 11 movies. Salman Aamir too,so he can’t ever be jealous , for what? His awards says it all. Just cos am Srk fan but to candid versatility wise he is top there.

Even worst enemy of Ajay even you am sure knows how popular and appreciated the movie was,Mumbai police were so stunned they had to even give him a felicitation. Yeah SR wasn’t as good as the original one but giving you a homework go and visit most watched movies of recent times and see Ajays Average on TPR. @indicne published it earlier last month. It showed how the craps you did not include were watched by tv audience lol. Indian audience don’t give 1/00 crs so easily unless something interesting is in those movies ,Ajay has 5.
