Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has a massive line-up of films in 2017 and the actor is already looking forward to a great year ahead.
On the first day of a new year, the actor tweeted “Busy summing up the year gone by? It’s time to not look back, but look ahead. Here’s what my 2017 looks like. Your thoughts, love and luck needed”
Akshay’s first release of 2017 will be ‘Jolly LLB 2’, directed by Subhash Kapoor. The film releases in theatres on February 10.
His second release will be ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’, which is based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swwach Bharat Abhiyaan. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film releases in theatres on June 2.
Akshay’s third film will be his biggest of the year – a film starring superstar Rajnikanth in the lead. Titled ‘2.0’, the sci-fi film is expected to set records when it releases during Diwali this year.
His last film of the year will be ‘Pad Man’, a film that’s said to be a biopic on Arunachalam Muruganantham. It will chronicle his journey of finding a way to make cheap, affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village.

Akki choices of films are brilliant I just only concerns that he should do the well commercially film which are appeals to mass & class peoples . @ indicine why akki has not signed kattathi remake . It has also social film on farmer sucides . I have seen that film it was awesome action scenes are brilliant one of favorite is knife scene . I know every film will definetly collect 100 crore but I want akki can do such films like Salman doing nowadays .

Interesting line up- 2.0 and jolly llb 2 are looking like commercial movies not sure about tepk and padman if they will be commercial success. But hats off for trying different genres
For the people that dont know – robot 2.0 is an event film, Jolly LLB 2 – you’ve all seen the trailer is a commercial film and Toilet is a satirical comedy.
The only one a little confused about is Padman but since the director is R.Balki and stars Akshay, Sonam, Radhika and Amitabh Bachchan – I’m sure it’ll be worth a watch.
To all haters – when someone does commercial films all the time, then you say he should do different and when he does different, then you say he should do event films… it seems like Akshay Kumar can never win.
And and and, as for box office – well lets talk at the end of 2017!
These movies are not for people who like Dilwale Happy New Year Bang Bang Jai Ho Bodyguard Dhoom 3 etc etc … so please keep away!
A true star for the common man. Hardworking Akki deserves the best. 2017- awards will ignore but he will continue to entertain and win hearts
Akshay Kumar has improved a lot as an actor. He was superb in Airlift & Rustom. Here’s wishing the good trend continues throughout 2017 too..
