The first poster of Akira starring Sonakshi Sinha in the lead is out. The film has been directed by ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Holiday’ director A.R. Murugadoss. The film will release in theatres on 2nd September 2016.
The decision on the release date comes soon after the announcement that ‘M.S. Dhoni’ biopic has been pushed ahead to September 30.

A.R. Murugadoss is a fantastic director. I hope he is able to unleash the talent of Sonakshi Sinha which was just utilized once in Lootera otherwise she is waster in each & every film.
But my mind says that this film will be an awesome one & Sonaskhi will give good performance in it!

Isn’t this blatant copyright infringement of the Japanese anime titles Akira which came out in 1988. This A.R stole the script for ghajini from memento and gets critically acclaimed by Bollywood..

Wrong choice. They shouldn’t cast Sona as a lead. She’d work better in the zombie genre which fits in more with her acting style.??
