With less than 2 days to go for the release of ‘Airlift’, the cast of the film visited the Air India office to promote their film. The film is based on the evacuation of Indians from Kuwait during the 1990 Iraq-Kuwait war.
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, along with his co-star Nimrat Kaur and director Raja Krishna Menon visited the Air India office. They spoke to the officials about the story and patriotism of their film.
The team also posed with an “Art Collection” book of Air India, the airliner’s CMD Ashwani Lohani gifted a memento of an Air India plane dummy to the stars (which Akshay is seen holding in the pictures below).
Airlift releases in theatres on 22nd January. The advance booking of the film has received a decent response.

im getting feeling 2016 will be great yr for bollywood.. bettr than 2015.
Airlift will have a good opening am expecting a 10cr+ and it has a very strict budget of between 45-50cr this film will be the first hit of 2016 guaranted, i just hope it will touch 100cr,although the music album is a big let down

Airlift had the potential of doing remarkable business if it was a solo release,but with a clash of other three films it’s b.o will be affected really bad,though i think it will still emerge a hit since it needs collect around 75-85cr to be a clean

I am looking forward to watch Airlift as both the trailers were beyond awesome . Airlift has been promoted on a good level and in fact don’t remember which movie of AK was promoted so much in the last 2 years . The concept is novel and it is looking like a solid movie . I want Airlift to do the maximum it can because such movies are not only made for Box Office but for Patriotism . airlift will opening good did to the solid promoted so first day will by around 11cr and lifetime +130cr if content is good
