Airlift dropped on Day 6 at the box office, which is its first major drop after performing exceedingly well over the extended 5-day weekend at the box office. The film has collected Rs 6 crore on Day 6, which is a drop of 51% from its first Friday.
The 6-day total of the film is Rs 78.5 crore and Airlift is now looking at first week business of around 84-85 crore.
There are two releases this weekend – Sunny Leone’s Mastizaade and R. Madhavan’s multi-lingual Saala Khadoos. The former is expected to take a fairly good opening, while the latter will depend on word-of-mouth even though the film has got a boost with Rajkumar Hirani backing it.
But with an established film like Airlift, it remains to be seen if the audience will give Saala Khadoos a chance even if it carries positive reports.

@ hey friends. Specially haters!! Why you guys are comparing this movie with jai ho. Jai ho released with more than 4000 screens. It released during salman golden run. Solo release. Had more commercial value than airleft. So I am requesting all of you to accept the truth. Airleft is a masterpiece movie. Akki delivered one of his best performance. And more important for top actor having movie like airleft in their account is a huge achievement.
