Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3

After years of rumors, the 3rd baddie of the super-successful Dhoom series has been revealed. And its none other than Aamir Khan!

The film will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and not Sanjay Gadhvi who directed the first two parts of the series. Acharya was credited as the screenplay and dialogue writer of Dhoom 1 and 2. He also directed the disastrous Tashan in 2008.

Talking about Dhoom 3, Aamir said “Dhoom is an entertaining franchise. Every time I hear the theme track, it brings a swing to my step. I had never thought I would fit into it, but I loved Victor’s (Vijay Acharya) script and look forward to being one up on Jai and Ali (Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra). And of course, working with Yashji (Yash Chopra) and Adi (Aditya Chopra) once again”.

Sounding equally excited, veteran director-producer Yash Chopra said “With Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2 we raised the bar set by John Abraham in Dhoom and now we have Aamir. Adi and Victor have worked for over a year on what is possibly one of the best scripts to have come out of Yashraj Films. The audience can look forward to one of the most exciting films they have ever seen.”
