While Salman and Shah Rukh ensure a outstanding initial due to their box office pull across the country, what has worked for Aamir is the trust factor that the audience have in his films – which is probably the toughest to achieve over a career spanning more than 27 years.
Apart from one big day for Ajay Devgn (opening day of Singham Returns) and three big days for Hrithik Roshan (Bang Bang and Krrish 3), no other actor has even managed to surpass the 25 crore mark on a single day.
Aamir’s latest release Dangal has taken the 25th spot in the all time list. It’s the 6th highest non-holiday single day of all time. When it comes to opening day non-holiday, Dangal comes second after Aamir’s Dhoom 3 in 2013.

30 CR+ on a single day is a huge achievement . What makes this extremely special is only 5 actors have achieved this landmark – Salman Khan, SRK, Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgan . Dangal doing 29.78 on first day is great considering normal working day and demonetisation . Dangal will do bumper business in the first 3 days . For beating Sultan, BB and PK Dangal needs to trend really well . I expected Dangal to do 30+ on the first day and it fell short by 22 Lakhs .

HNY&Dilwale holds the highest day one records in India & overseas respectively.Even in SRK’s so called dull phase his stardom is untouched.
The whole credit for 29 crore opening day goes to Aamir alone, there is no other crowdpulling factor in Dangal except Aamir’s name. Only Aamir.
Despite demonitisation and severe cold which affected key circuits like east Punjab,Delhi…it collected more than Bajrangi day 1…..power of Aamir.
7 out of the top 10 spots are occupied by Salman Khan. I am pretty sure we will never see this again in the history of Bollywood. Legends!

Watched the late night show of Dangal and I’m literally speechless.
Every frame of Dangal has been crafted with such a perfection that at the end you wish movie should have been stretched for another 15-20 minutes. You won’t feel like leaving the theatre leaving such a wonderful cinematic experience behind.
Dangal is one man show and its all about Amir. He always amazes his audiences with his hard work and this time it’s no different.
I felt like saluting this superhero while I was in theatre.
Bollywood has produced a number of superstars/megastars but it couldn’t/can’t and will not produce another perfectionist – because that title is reserved for Amir and that is well deserved.
Kudos Sir!!!!!
Those who have not booked their tickets yet – rush to the theatres. Trust me you will miss a eloquent cinematic experience otherwise.
