Predicting the box office collections of films at the very beginning of the year, before the release of trailer and songs, is difficult. But it also reflects the pre-release expectations that the trade has from films.

With 2014 coming to an end, we decided to look back and compare the actual collections of the films to the predictions that we made in January 2014. How many films did we get right? How many films fell short or exceeded expectations? Let’s find out!

  • I predicted 250 for Kick so it was close and i was hoping 300 for PK so it will be also fairly accurate and for Jai ho i never predicted.

  • I em a die hard fan of shahrukh khan not a hater of aamir and salman but till i know srk has lost his stardorm/publicity and salman increases and aamir remain it,and hny movie can’t surpass the collection of “kick or pk” between the khans and it made us very very disappoint ; hope that the “fan and raees” both will be all time blockbuster and the biggest grossers of 2015…and i want to know answer from indicine that i em right or wrong plz plz indicine must rply nd i hope that u will answer me and that’s why i most love and check evertime this site indicine !!! Waiting for answer

    where did u find indicine calling bang bang a super hit and hny blockbuster???indicine always called these 2 films as hit and superhit respectively

  • The only reason hny underperformed was it was a very lengthy movie. Movies first 40-50 min is just intro of each and every character. Had the editing been good and some useless scenes like terrace fighting,stupid Sonu sood fighting outside pub,sajid khan scene were deleted then it could collect as indicine had predicted.
