Sarbjit has taken a very poor opening at the box office, with collections at around the same level as ‘Fitoor’ earlier this year.
While ‘Fitoor’ was a disaster on Day 1 itself due to high costs, Sarbjit has a chance if the film can show big growth on Saturday and Sunday.
However, growth is unlikely to come as reports from theatres is mixed to negative. The morning shows on Saturday haven’t really picked up from the low levels on Friday.
The highest opening of the year belongs to Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN. It’s way ahead of all other films that have released this year.
