Bajirao Mastani Day 13 (2nd Wednesday) Box Office Collections

Bajirao Mastani is inching closer to the 150 crore mark, as the film remained rock-steady on Day 13 at the ticket window. Business at most centres is expected to pick up towards the end of the day today and the film could pass the 150 crore mark on the first day of the New Year.

Bajirao Mastani beats Dilwale in North America

While Dilwale is dominating almost all overseas markets, there is one territory where Bajirao Mastani has sneaked ahead of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer. In North America (USA / Canada), Bajirao Mastani has collected $4,300,678 (Rs 28.53 crore), while Dilwale has collected $3,962,523 (Rs 26.30 crore). The difference isn’t much, but beating the mighty Shah Rukh Khan in his strong holds like North America, UK, Gulf and Australia.. is in itself a massive achievement for any film.

Dilwale 2nd Weekend Box Office Collections

Dilwale has collected Rs 21.23 crore in its second weekend at the box office, taking its 10-day total to Rs 123.88 crore. The film performed well in its first weekend, but hasn’t been able to sustain the level of business that it was expected to from Monday onwards. The difference between Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale now stands at Rs 3.42 crore, with the Shah Rukh Khan starrer still leading by a small margin.

Dilwale Day 9 (2nd Saturday) Box Office Collections

Dilwale was steady on its 9th day at the box office, but the collections are now down to low levels. The Rohit Shetty directed film is a profitable venture for Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, but domestic distributors of the film are set to lose a big chunk of their investment.

Year End Analysis: Highest First Week Box Office Collections of 2015

The last two films of 2015 have released and the two films, Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani, have taken the 3rd and 4th spot respectively in the highest first week box office collections of 2015. Salman Khan leads with Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo topping the list. The combined first week collections of the two films is a staggering Rs 350.1 crore net.

Dilwale 2nd Friday Box Office Collections

Dilwale was way below par at the box office on Friday, as the film collected Rs 8.1 crore on its 8th day which was a big holiday for Christmas. The film has collected Rs 110.76 crore so far and by the end of the 2nd weekend, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer should be around the 123 crore range.

Dilwale + Bajirao Mastani vs Dhoom 3 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan

The combined business of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani was about the same as what Dhoom 3 collected in its first week at the box office, with one extra holiday for Christmas. The highest week of all time for the industry was the 2nd week of Baahubali (Hindi), which was Rs 26.38 crore and 1st week of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which was Rs 184.65 crore. The combined total of the two films was Rs 211.03 crore in that Eid weekend (17 July – 23 July).

Dilwale, Bajirao 2nd Week Friday Box Office Collection Update

Bajirao Mastani is outperforming all other films at the box office on Friday and this includes both the Hollywood release ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dilwale’. The lead seems to be quite big, because multiplexes are performing at a much higher level of occupancy as compared to yesterday and even better than the 1st Friday.

Dilwale vs Bajirao Mastani Show Count in Week 2

Bajirao Mastani will be playing on more shows as compared to Dilwale in Week 2. In the first week, the show ratio was around 60:40 in favour of the bigger film Dilwale. In the second week, it’s the other way round, with Bajirao Mastani getting significantly more shows than Dilwale. In Bengal, Dilwale has been allotted more shows, but at most other places, Bajirao Mastani is leading.

Dilwale was rock-steady yet again on its 6th day at the box office, giving the film a good chance of picking up in the next 3-4 days. The drop from Monday to Wednesday is just 13%, which is excellent when you consider the fact that the trend during the weekend and Monday wasn’t too positive for the film.

Bajirao Mastani Total Collections in 6 days

Ranveer Singh’s Bajirao Mastani has shown no drop in business on Day 6 at the box office, as the film was running at around the same level of occupancy as Tuesday on Wednesday. The film is now looking at a first week total of around 85-86 crore as the extended Christmas weekend begins today and business should begin to pick up towards the end of the day.

Bajirao Mastani was rock-solid on Day 5 at the domestic box office, showing hardly any drop in business. The film has now collected Rs 66.43 crore in 5 days, which is excellent considering the fact that the film released against Dilwale. The drop from Monday is just 8%.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale has collected Rs 9.42 crore on Day 5 at the domestic box office, the drop, according to the official figures released by Red Chillies Entertainment was less than 7%. The Rohit Shetty directed film is now looking at first week business of Rs 100 – 101 crore.
