Excessive marketing, multiple city tours, publicity stunts, controversies, social media can all help create hype around a film, but there is nothing quite like strong content and positive word-of-mouth publicity. This was proved yet again when Queen released in theatres last weekend. The film took a slow start, lower than Gulaab Gang on Friday, but positive reports from all over has helped the film grow from strength-to-strength.
Kangana Ranaut in Queen – Box Office Collection Update
The Monday collections of Queen was higher than its Friday business, a rarity in today’s times. As days have progressed, the Kangana Ranaut starrer has put up better figures than the combined business of Gulaab Gang and Total Siyapaa.
In fact, Queen seems to be putting up better figures with each passing day. The film is likely to collect around 18 crore in its first week, which is good, but it still has a long way to go before it can be declared a box office hit. Second week will be crucial if it has to recover its costs (23-24 cr budget including P&A).
A lot will also depend on how well this week’s release Bewakoofiyaan (again a multiplex film) is received by the audience. If the film carries appreciation, then the business of Queen will be affected. Else, Queen could go on to be a major grosser.

Verdict – Pending, could be dependent on the upcoming releases like Bewakoofiyaan and Ragini MMS
might not get a hit verdict due to ragini mms and yrf’s bewakoofiyan.. But kangana will get a super-hit in dharma’s Ungli.
Finally it came! I don’t think Bewakoofiyaan will get good response from the audience. Queen will be at least above average if not a hit.
Yariyaan budget 19cr, the collection 38cr or 40cr. Yariyaan is a clean hit. @indicine, your verdict of yariyaan is above average. why? @indicine why? last two day you publish HIGHWAY is hit. How come hit? This year first clean hit is YARIYAAN only.

@indicine team. Queen could set a record for weekdays. The only film to have better collection than previous day in each weekdays. If thursday collection is higher than wednesday then this would be a new genuine record, or does any other movie done this before?

Hey guys.. I came from the cinema now.. watched Queen.. it’s a very nice film, hilarious specially in the second half.. applause for Kangana Ranout.. her best performance.. ppl go and watch it.. I enjoyed watching it. haven’t seen such a good bollywood film since a while
