Even though the leading lady of the film is yet to be finalised, Farah Khan is gearing up to begin shooting for her fourth film after Main Hoon Na (2004), Om Shanti Om (2007) and Tees Maar Khan (2010).
Titled Happy New Year, Farah returns to her favourite actor Shahrukh Khan who played the lead in her first two films as director. Apart from SRK, Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani have been signed to play important characters, while Vivaan Shah is the latest entry into the ‘Happy New Year’ cast.
Vivaan, son of veteran actors Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Patak, was last seen in Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘7 Khoon Maaf’. He will be portraying the character of a 18 year old in the film.
There were rumours lately that Farah has signed television actress Ankita Lokhande (Kai Po Che actor Sushant Singh Raput’s girlfriend) to play the female lead opposite Shahrukh Khan. While Farah hasn’t denied the rumour, she has promised to make the announcement soon.
Happy New Year goes on floors a month after the release of Chennai Express. The first shooting schedule, which was delayed due to SRK’s shoulder surgery, will now begin in Dubai.

Foes turned friend Shah Rukh Khan who has been busy with the post production of his film ‘Chennai Express’ made it a point to keep himself updated with the hit and run case of actor Salman Khan.
As per insiders, Shah Rukh Khan was in touch with his team regarding updates on Salman Khan’s case and was visibly disturbed after knowing that Salman is being tried for Culpable Homicide.
At the Iftar party, much ahead of his hug with Salman, Shah Rukh was seated next to Salman’s father Salim Khan and had expressed concern about his hit-and-run case.
Shah Rukh, who is promoting his upcoming film Chennai Express, is attending certain promotional events today and is likely to speak about his apparent patch up with Salman, if sources are to be believed.

who gives this Abhishek Bachhan movies man? It is a pity that Dhoom franchise aren’t able to get a guy who can play better cop than the grumpy looking Abhishek. Even Uday Chopra did better than him in both the earlier series.

I don’t want a TV actress… I want an established star, who can act, dance, and is beautiful. Who has amazing chemistry with Shahrukh, Abhishek and (if rumours are true about his casting) Prithviraj. Only name that comes to my head is Rani Mukerji. But this will never happen so I suppose I’ll have to settle with whoever is cast.
