Tips Industries’ Ramaiya Vastavaiya, a film that marked the debut of Kumar Taurani’s son Girish Kumar, opened to a decent response at the box office on Friday. The Prabhu Deva directed film collected Rs 3.42 crore on its opening day, which is pretty good considering the fact that the film didn’t have any face value.
Being a typical Prabhu Deva mass-entertainer, Ramaiya Vastavaiya is likely to appeal more towards the masses than the city audience. The occupancy at multiplexes was way below-the-mark in big cities on Day 1.
Still, it will be interesting to see if the film can show growth in business over the weekend, especially on Sunday. It won’t be easy though, as two multiplex-oriented films Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and D-Day, both carrying fantastic appreciation, are likely be the first/second choice.
Saturday Update: The morning shows were about the same as Friday, a slight dip at multiplexes where the occupancy was about 10% lower than Friday.
Dis prabhu deva is a talentless, crap director.

Prabhudeva is facing lot of crticism over his directorial skills its better to done a hat as a choreographer I hope he should nt loose his respect as a choreographer he is only good at remakes

Im glad to hear that ramaiya vastaviya did good browth in bussiness
because i thought that it is going to be flop because of d-day and bhaag milkha bhaag
