Heavy Rains that swept Mumbai on Friday morning could affect the opening of Yashraj Film’s New York which released worldwide today.
The film which stars Katrina Kaif, John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead is important for the industry reeling with back-to-back disasters and the producer-multiplex strike which resulted in no film releases for over 2 months.
Heavy rains has lead to water logging in several parts of the city and with forecast for similar thunderstorms over the weekend, it could severely dent box-office collections for the movie in the city.
According to a new channel, areas affected by rain in central Mumbai include Mahim, Mahalaxmi, Parel, Milan Subway, Goregaon. Eastern suburbs like Kurla and Mulund have been affected too.
