5 reasons to watch Jab Tak Hai Jaan tomorrow

Right from the rumoured title ‘London Ishq‘ to the poster on the front page of Times Of India that finally revealed the title of ‘SRK’s next’ as Jab Tak Hai Jaan. On September 27th, the director of the film, the legendary Yash Chopra celebrated his 80th birthday. He spoke about his journey, right from the inception of Yashraj Films to Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which he announced on the same day as his last film.

Amidst all the celebrations and excitement as the film’s release date got closer, Chopra tragically passed away on October 21st.

The makers have organised a grand premiere to celebrate Chopra’s life and his last film, which finally releases in theatres tomorrow.

SRK Katrina Kaif – Jab Tak Hai Jaan

• Yash Chopra Romance, one last time: A 60 year long journey comes to an end with the release of Jab Tak Hai Jaan. While his classics will be watched and loved for years to come, this is the last time you’ll get to watch an Yash Chopra film in theatres.
• Shahrukh Khan: His first release of 2012 and the last too. There was a time, not too long ago, when SRK would have 3 releases every year. Now, it’s reduced to one, sometimes two. For fans around the world, an SRK film is a festival.
• Katrina Kaif: She is the most popular actress in the country. Period. While her star power has rarely been tested (due to the presence of male superstars), almost all her films have opened well, even smaller releases like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Also, it would be fun to watch Katrina as a Yash Chopra heroine. From the promos, she is looking gorgeous!
• Story: Yashji has always experimented with his characters and story line, Darr and Lamhe are two examples. Jab Tak Hai Jaan promises to be different. It’s unlikely to be a run-of-the-mill love triangle.
• The entire cast and crew: The absolute best in the industry are coming together – Yashraj Films (top production house), Yash Chopra (director), Aditya Chopra (story), Shahrukh Khan (lead star), A R Rahman (music), Gulzar (lyrics), Anil Mehta (cinematography) – all legends of Indian cinema. Apart from Katrina and Anushka Sharma, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh and Anupam Kher have special appearances too.
