English Vinglish has opened to a poor response on it’s first day at the box-office. In spite of all the hype surrounding Sridevi’s comeback film, the opening day collections have been disappointing to say the least. The Hindi version of the film has collected Rs 2 crore nett.
The critics have given the film a thumbs up, and the reports from theatres are good too. Business picked up for the evening and night shows, which is a good sign for the weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
While KLPD – Kismet Love Paisa Dilli is a washout at the box-office, the strong run of Paresh Rawal’s OMG Oh My God, has affected the first day business of English Vinglish.
The 8th day (2nd Friday) collections of Oh My God is higher than both the new releases this week.

Oh my god is running great in theatres because it’s a akshay’s movie and akshay has been blessed by a fortunate and lucky baby girl,i Would say Laxmi…..Now,Akshay will have consistent hits,If u don’t believe,wait till the release of his movies……The new born baby girl would get them much much happiness and blessings……She has entered as god in akshay’s life…….God bless akshay and his family…..My sweet Love to the new born baby girl………
