Theater actor Sanjeev Jaiswal has been cast as Ajmal Amir Kasab in Ram Gopal Varma’s film on the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Announcing that the film will have a fresh cast, RGV said “The most important actor is the guy who’s going to play Kasab. The reason being he becoming the face of the 26/11 attacks. I needed someone similar and also a great actor to be able to portray the complexities involved and I found him in a theatre actor called Sanjay Jaiswal.”
He later clarified that the name of the actor is Sanjeev Jaiswal and not Sanjay “Incidentally the name of the actor who’s playing Kasab is Sanjeev Jaiswal and not Sanjay Jaiswal”
Made at a cost of Rs 40 crores, the shooting for the film based on the 26/11 attacks, begins today.

It can’t be 40 cr0res indicine..new actors…low production values. At best budget will be 15 cr0res and othe 5-10 crores for publicity cost.
