Emraan Hashmi in a Karan Johar film!

Ever since he made his promising debut in Vikram Bhatt’s Footpath way back in 2003, Emraan Hashmi’s popularity – especially with the masses – has always been under-rated.

Emraan is one of the most dependable actors in the industry, whose mere presence in a film can guarantee a good initial at the box-office. Although, he’s known more for his kissing scenes and chartbuster songs, the actor has never failed to impress both the audiences and critics with his on-screen histrionics.

Unfortunately, for most part of his career, Emraan has worked with smaller production houses. Big banners like Yashraj Films and Dharma Productions have strangely ignored him.

Finally though, his hard worked and consistency has paid off! Emraan Hashmi has been signed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for a film to be directed by Rensil D’Silva (Kurbaan). The shooting for the untitled film is expected to begin in July 2012.
