Arjun Kapoor’s Mubarakan will be sticking to its previously announced release date of July 28, amidst rising competition from other films during the same period.
First announced to take advantage of the extended ‘Raksha Bandhan’ weekend, ‘Mubarakan’ now has competition from ‘Haseena: Queen Of Mumbai’ which is releasing on the same date (July 28) and also from Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ which has now moved to August 4 – averting the clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ (August 11).

I was expecting a 28 to 32 cr opening for JHMS but if Mubaarakan finds appreciation it will be tough
So after working with each other in Half Girlfriend Arjun and Shraddha will clash with each other on 28th July with Mubarakan and Haseena . Both these films are extremely crucial . Shraddha is on a rough patch with 3 failures in the last 6 months . Arjun has not been able to give a big hit since 2 States . Both these films have only 1 week to perform to their full potential because in 2nd week they will face competition from JHMS and from 3rd week they will face competition from TEPK . So according to ideal situation one out of these two films will fail at the Box Office . I guess Haseena or maybe both . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shradda just did a film with Arjun and now will be clashing with him within just 1 month
silly decision to stick with 28 July. There is Indu sarakr & Haseena too and one week window. They should have taken Muna micheal on 21 July . so that we can see clash of young guns.
Anees bazmi is a good director and smart choice for a comedy movie if this film is as much funny as his previous films then srk’s movie will be in danger
Two weeks after Jagga Jasoos, one week after Munna Micheal, clash with Haseena, followed two big films in the consecutive weeks. Very risky. I think the makers should postpone it to September, Arjun is in need for a big hit. His last was 2 States, more than 3 years ago. He shouldn’t repeat the mistake that happened with HG. It would be best to postpone the movie and release in a better period.
In my opinion Mubarakan should shift to September, there is a 3 week gap between Baadshao and Judwaa 2, where Simran and Bhoomi are releasing. It can clash with either of those two. Better period, and the competition would be smaller plus the benefit from Dusshera/Gandhi Jayanti weekend in the long run. It can also clash with Judwaa 2 as it’s a big weekend but 28 July is a very bad idea.
For me, Haseena is looking more promising than Mubaraka.
