Raabta has faced outright rejection on its opening day, collecting less than Rs 5 crore at the domestic box office. The opening is shocking because the occupancy on Friday was on-par with the disastrous ‘Rangoon’ and lower than ‘Ok Jaanu’ which released on fewer screens.
The Day 1 collection is less than half of ‘Half Girlfriend’, even though the release circumstances for ‘Raabta’ was much better than the Mohit Suri directed film. Apart from the ongoing Ramzan period when the muslim section of the audience stay away from theatres (the impact of which is more pronounced at smaller centres), ‘Raabta’ had a cleaner release. ‘Bahubali 2’ is now running at lower levels and the other release this week ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ isn’t carrying the kind of word-of-mouth that ‘Hindi Medium’ did.
Recovering the marketing costs from theatrical business will now be a struggle for ‘Raabta’ because the film is unlikely to collect more than 17-18 crore in its first weekend. The reports aren’t positive either, so it remains to be seen where the film goes from here.
‘Raabta’ is a major setback for Sushant Singh Rajput, who had significantly hiked his acting-fee after the success of ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’. Even his smaller films like ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ and inflation-adjusted opening of ‘Kai Po Che’ and ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’ was better than a more expensive and commercial film like ‘Raabta’.

According to official collections it is 5.61 CR . But it does not make any difference . Raabta is a disaster on the 1st day itself . This will be a setback for Sushant, Kriti and Dinesh Vijan . This will be the biggest failure for Sushant and Kriti till date . Apart from MSD Sushant is not reliable in terms of opening . Kriti Sanon needs to up her game because she got appreciated for Heropanti . One of the biggest flop of 2017 along with Rangoon . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As expected, the opening is poor. May wrap up with 25 cr. So Raabta is the first flop for Kriti Sanon. The lifetime would be in the same level as MSD’s opening, definitely very bad news for SSR. He has talent, looks and everything but luck isn’t favouring. Failed to take the ‘Dhoni’ fame to next level…

This arrogant SSR deserves this disaster. He tells acting is his passion but since the day I watched MS Dhoni: The Crap, I knew SSR is a bad actor. I mean which guy in Bihar will wear stylish leather jackets, roam on a bullet bike, put gel on hairs that too during early 2000. I have lived in Bihar for almost 7yrs and rarely found such urban people. MS Dhoni was the worst biopic ever (nothing against Dhoni). The film lacked authenticity and was half baked (I mean who shows only the adult days in bio). Just having the Bihari accent does not make you a Bihari. A biopic should be like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Sachin. Nowadays I even hate the people who liked MS Dhoni: The Crap Story.
The arrogant SSR looked more like Yuvraj rather than Dhoni and he calls himself a good actor. Learn something from Dutt biopic where RK is giving his 100% to fit into the movie and character. RK and sanjay dutt now look like lost twins.
Where is Naam Shabhana in the list? It had a bigger opening than Raabta too.
As expected Raabta was completely looking Disaster in making Since the release of the trailer Two songs had worked but who will waste their 300 Rs. Just to watch Songs when they can already watch it on YouTube and TV but anyways Shushant and Kriti are Good actors and their chemistry is awsome as seen in songs they both should again colloborate for good movie

This is called a Media Made Star/Actor……Out of 4-5 releases, his only one movie work M S Dhoni Biopic and even that one worked because of Dhoni himself (not because of Sushant), but media still praise him and calling him best actor…..If he really is good actor then atleast he should give Hit or Semi hit, but no……Audience is not interested in watching him…….I must say he has very good PR team which work really hard to promote him as a good actor……Also it is become trend now a days, that all those star who are failed in their career and giving Flop everytime few people start calling him great actor…..Bhai if they are really good actor then why theaters are empty……

I don’t care about reviews and collections, came back from cinema now and it was above my expectations. A nice film, high in production and direction. Yes the reincarnation is somehow a repetitive story but this one is just different and warth watching
Kriti is so beautiful and a tabented actress and she deserves best films
