‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ has collected Rs 8.4 crore on its opening day at the box office, which is outstanding for a docudrama that was mainly driven by the popularity of Sachin Tendulkar. The regional versions have contributed around Rs 1.25 crore to the total.
The film opened strongly on Friday morning and sustained well throughout the day. The response is mixed and given the strong start on Friday, business might as well register a drop on Saturday – but a 25-crore first weekend will ensure that ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ is one of the first docudrama to be successful at the box office.

No need to spend money on a cricketer’s documentary who just played for himself making self records rather than playing for country, waiting for movie on Virat Kohli.
Fantastic collections considering a documentary film….! More than 90% feature films fail to achieve those figures!
#Hail Mega Legend SACHIN TENDULKAR.

good opening
The opening of Sachin : A Billion Dreams is excellent . Despite being a documentary it is great to see Sachin getting a terrific start at the Box Office . This is the popularity of SRT across South, West, East and North . I think this is a bigger achievement because Sachin retired from International Cricket in 2013 . Looking at the response Sachin will be the Highest Grossing Documentary in the history of Indian Cinema . Cheers !!!!!!!!!
Good opning…..but it deserve more…..
Not good as expected…nothg new …
I will watch this movie tomorrow.
That’s only because of Sachin’s popularity, but Sachin’s biopic deserves much bigger numbers. The weekend will be just little more than the Day 1 of Dhoni biopic and lifetime may not even cross the weekend business of MSD. They should have made it as feature film. Just an opinion coz I’m a Sachin lover.
Sachin…. Sachin.
Why Naam Shabana is not included?
Dear Shamb_ji to get a respect like Sachin Kohli should take ten more births. Firstly u ask Kohli to learn to respect co-players. His gossips with Anushka r most famous than his batting. His over expressions, impatience are intolerable. With great tallent comes humbleness that Kohli lack.
@Shamb_ji
Congratulations for being a looser..
Remain looser for rest of your life..
Sachin is undoubtedly the greatest Indian batsman of all time. His humility and dedication is unparalleled. But as a neutral person if you look at is career there have been times when his personal glory superseded team’s interest.
He had scored a brilliant century against Kochi in IPL but he chose to take a deliberate single when he was at 99 and mind you it was the last ball of the innings. He could have tried to go for a big shot than playing it safe.
Similarly his 100th hundred was a phenomenal achievement but it took him to score 138 balls to score that hundred. And on both occasions the team lost the game.Yes the entire nation was obsessed about his ton but it was Asia Cup not an ODI series.
He exaggerated the declaration incident and put the entire blame on Dravid while Dravid had no idea that the match would be over within 4 days when he took the decision
While he takes active participation in MI’s matches but I wish being a role model for every cricketer he takes more interest in grooming youngsters and attends more sessions in Parliament.
I won’t talk about his retirement because in his own words retiring at a stage when you could still contribute to team’s success is an act of selfishness and he did retire without any fanfare in ODIs which haters conveniently choose to ignore.
He is a legend,an inspiration and the finest cricketer but just like every human being he too has his own set of flaws which majority of people ignore.
This goes to show how low Kaabil opened in January. Hrithik is in trouble.
his strike rate was below 50 when he score runs between 90 to 100
selfish player compare to others
Why including regional collection for sachin but not for Bahubali
Some morons are bashing sachin n u shameless ppl are publishing it.rather u shud try to chk those comments instead of always targeting me.I HV been observing since many days u ppl simply don’t publish my comments.
This is a reply to all who say that Sachin was a selfish cricketer:-
This is a instance from a IND VS PAK match in 1999 at Chennai. Sachin playedd an awesome innings of 136 and was awarded MOM for his innings. But as he was unable to win that match for India he never collected that award. He kept weeping in the dressing room.
And even then some people say that he was a selfish cricketer.???
@INDCINE you are Khan lovers and HR haters!! You contradict your own data…in your earlier post you have shown Kaabil opening day collection as INR 10.43 Cr then how come it become 8.75 Cr now…
http://www.indicine.com/movies/bollywood/kaabil-day-3-box-office-report/
thats why HR followers dont trust indicine as you are only glorifying Khans most of the time…you are exposed now
